First I went and picked up Alex. We packed her stuff into the trunk and then we were gone.
"So, are you excited or what!?" She asks.
"Yeah, of course!" I answer.
I have been driving for about 5 minutes and I'm already starving. I wait until we pass a variety store or a Walmart. The first thing I spot is Walmart, so we stop there.
"Do you want to stay in the car while I go and buy a few things?" I ask.
"Sure." Alex answers.
It was really busy there, but I went shopping anyways. I got a lot of food and drinks for the ride. I got a bag of dill pickle chips, a case of water bottles, a bag of chocolate chip cookies, some granola bars, juice boxes, and a small tub of ice cream and some plastic spoons. We would eat the ice cream when I got back into the car, so it wouldn't melt.
It was really warm outside, so when I got back to my convertible, I put the top down.
"I'm back, Alex" I said. She didn't respond.
"Alex?" I said. Again, no answer.
Alex!?" I asked again, and still no answer. She wasn't moving. I shake her shoulder, and she doesn't move. I check her breathing. She is still breathing, but hardly at all.
"Alex!" I scream. Still, nothing. I grab my cell phone, and dial 9-1-1.
"9-1-1, what is the problem?" A lady asks from the other end of the line.
"It's-it's my friend....." I stutter. "I need an ambulance! She isn't moving and is hardly breathing!"
"Okay, we'll be there as soon as possible. Where are you?" She asks.
I'm in the Walmart parking lot in London."
"Okay I'll send an ambulance."
I wait for about 5 minutes and then I hear sirens. It's an ambulance. I yell and wave, to make sure they know its me who needs them. When they see me, they drive up and get out of the ambulance. They ask me a few questions about Alex, and what happened.
"What's her name?" One asks. She has long, chocolate brown hair.
"Alexandra Keliston, or Alex for short" I answer.
"Did you see what happened?" A different one asks. This one was a bald man with dark skin.
"No. I went into Walmart to get a few things while she stayed here. I came back and she was like this." By then there was another person loading Alex onto a stretcher.
