I got up, almost sprinting upstairs to see what had happened. When I got into the kitchen, I saw Stephanie sitting on the ground in a weird position. As soon as I saw, I knew she had broken her ankle. No more singing and dancing around the house anymore for her!
I was kind of glad, but also a little bit worried about Stephanie, she IS my sister after all.
"What happened?!" I asked.
"She was dancing when she tripped over daisy." He responded.
Daisy was my 3 year old beagle.
"Sam, help me carry her to the car" dad asked.
"Okay but I can't go to the hospital with you, I have to leave in a few hours" I answered.
I helped lift and carry Stephanie out to my dads camouflage jeep. He served in the army, so he thought he should get a vehicle to symbolize that.
After they were gone, I kept on packing. I packed enough clothes for 2 weeks, I can wash them every week. I'm also bringing a few photos of me and my mom, because she meant so much to me. I threw in 5 pairs of shoes- a pair of purple and green flip-flops, my blue, purple, and black high tops, brown buckled knee high boots, my black and white plaid flats, and my bright highlighter pink running shoes.
It is about a 10 hour drive, from my house in London, Ontario to the university in New York City, so I had to leave at 9:00 so I can be there by 8:00 am. By now it's 2:00, so I have 7 hours to do whatever I want. So I turn on my computer, and I go on my favorite website, scientist of today. I always love seeing the creations people have made. I stay on there for about an hour, looking through photos.
After that, I grab the phone and call my best friend Alex.
"Are you almost ready?" I ask. She was coming with me to the University of New York.
"Yeah, are you?" she asks.
"Yeah, I'm all done and ready to go!" I respond.
"I just have to pack a few more things and I'll be done"
"Okay, do you want to leave early then so we aren't in a rush?"
"Sure, pick me up at 3:30?"
"Sure. Then we can go out for dinner and stuff."
"Sounds Good!"
"See you then!"
"Okay!"
I waited until she hung up the phone, then I did. Now it's 2:30. One more hour. Now I have to figure something else to do, so I go upstairs and turn on the T.V. I really wish my dad would have let me get one in my bedroom. Of course, he let Stephanie get one, but not me.
There wasn't anything on, so I put my favourite movie in-The Lion King. I got some popcorn and watched it. I wasn't able to finish the movie, because I had to leave.
First I packed all of my stuff into the trunk of my Red Convertible. I gave my dog Daisy a treat, locked the house, then I was on my way.
