Chapter 3

  "It's really nice to meet you guys." Azarius smiled and gave Mikasa a warm hug.
Mikasa pulled her scarf up a little to hide her smile.


*BAM* *BAM*
An explosion was heard near the walls. The explosion was so strong that the ground shook! The 3 looked up at the walls in shock and fear, Azarius however smiled none the less. 'It's time.'
Azarius ran towards the road and saw the citizens screaming in fear as they stared at the huge wall. On the walls were a the arms of a titan. It's head was paring down at the screaming people. The titan kicked the wall and allowed the other titans to enter. The broken pieces of the wall fell down and crushed anyone close.
A titan crept through the wall and with a malicious smile, he started to pick the citizens off from the ground. "We have to get out of here." Armin yelled at the 3. Eren however seemed to be dazed and ran towards the wall. "Our house is there. My mom!" Mikasa had no choice but to follow him.

Azarius' POV
I looked at Armin and saw his outreached arm. I knew that he wanted to go but instead took my arm. I would've tried to save Karla but by doing that it would change the plot completely, so I followed Armin.
I must've looked creepy with that grin on my face but I can't help it. We finally arrived at the docks, where the garrison helped gather the children and elderly first.
Armin and I got on with his grandpa and sat down. I just played with my stuffed rabbit waiting for Eren and Mikasa to come.
~Time Skip~
I saw Eren and Mikasa approach the ship along with Hannes. Hannes seemed to be talking with his fellow workers. I got up from my spot and went up to them.

Azarius led them to where she was sitting at and sat back down giving them some privacy. She sighed as she thought of the muffled cries of help.

After the ship was getting ready to leave, big steps were heard ringing throughout everyone's ear. With a long bam, another big titan came crashing and kicked the wall that was protecting the docks.

They sat in silence doing nothing but stare at the sky. Azarius however stared at the titans eating the citizens in wonder. 'I gotta wait for Eren's speech, so I can't sleep yet.' But sleep won over her and she fell asleep on Mikasa's shoulder.

~Time Skip~
Eren shot up from the hay and gasped for air. Next to him was Azarius and she was holding onto him, cuddling with her stuffy. He wondered why someone her age would carry a stuffed animal but decided to ask her later.

"Eren, are you okay?" Mikasa asked shaking Azarius' shoulders. "Azar, you should wake up too."

"Hmm... D-did you just call me Azar?" Azarius got up from her position and rubbed her eyes cutely. She blinked looking around before facing Eren and Mikasa.
"A-am I not a-allowed to call you that?" Mikasa managed to stutter with a flushed face. Azarius leaped from the hay and jumped into Mikasa's arms.
"YOU'RE SO CUTE!!!!!!" Azarius started to dig her face into her neck. "Call me that again."
"A-azar." The little girl in her arms started to squeal and hugged her tighter.

"Hey, guys" Armin waved with a handful of bread. "My grandfather got some bread for us children." He started to hand out the bread.
"Thank you." Azarius and Mikasa said in unison.
Hearing a snare, Eren and Azarius looked up and saw a man.
"What's his problem?" Azarius knew what was going to happen so she waited. Armin started to explain how little food there is.

Azarius' POV
I looked around and saw a baby crying in hunger. The mom was receiving stares so she tried to hush her baby. I smiled a little before walking up to them.
"Here, you can have it." The mom looked at me shocked.
"O-oh no, I can't have it." She denied the bread so I ripped a little piece off and gave the rest to the mom.
"I'll have this, you can have the rest." I quickly stuffed the bread in my mouth before waving goodbye to the family.
When I returned to Eren, I saw him walk up to the Garrison soldiers and started to yell at them. The Garrison didn't like what Eren said so they kicked him away.
"Please ignore him, he's just hungry!" Armin defended. The Garrison soldiers just scowled at them before walking away. Mikasa pulled Eren up and punched him in the face. She later shoved the bread into Eren's mouth.
"Eat and survive. I won't let you die!"
