"I couldn't help it. I didn't mean to cry. I thought I could ask for help, but hearing the concern in Evan's voice...I just...broke down," Jonathan spoke aloud, tears filling his eyes.

Merezel looked up from her cube, and furrowed her brow.

"Why did that stop you?" She asked, frowning.

Jonathan shook his head.

"I-I couldn't even get any words out!" Jonathan exclaimed, flopping face-first into the bed next to Merezel, he mumbled into the sheets, "I just made a fool of myself..."

Merezel smirked.

"Oh? A fool?"

Jonathan's head shot up, and he snapped his head towards Merezel.

"Y-You know what I mean!" He stammered, his face flushing a deep red.

Merezel giggled, and averted her eyes back to her cube. After a moment, she looked back to the man sulking in the bed next to her.

"He does care for you, Jonathan. He's one of your closest friends," Merezel stated, tossing her cube between her hands, "One of two of your best friends."

Jonathan frowned. He blinked a few times, then laid back down in the bed, "Yeah...one of two...," Jonathan grimaced, before correcting himself, "One of...one."

Merezel sighed, and stood up from the bed. She walked over the bedroom door, and opened it.

Before walking out, she looked back at Jonathan and said, "Maybe he can help get your colors straight."

~ 2:05 pm ~

Evan brought a hand to his face, to cover the yawn that was escaping his mouth.

Evan had packed a weeks worth of luggage, basic recording equipment, and a simple carry on back-pack. He booked a 7:30 am flight, and raced to the airport. Now, after his 6 hour flight, baggage claim, and purchasing an Uber, he finally made it to North Carolina.

Now, he was standing outside the airport baggage claim, patiently, and tiredly, waiting for his Uber to show up.

Evan didn't get the chance to worry about this before, immediately falling asleep on the plane, but now that he took a power-nap, and had a grumbling tummy - he was buzzing with both excitement and anxiety, rocking back and forth on his heels.

What if Jonathan is mad that I didn't tell him I was coming?
What if he's mad when he sees me?
What if he's mad when I see him?
What does he look like?
Will I finally be able to see my Delirious friend?
Will he be mad?
Oh....will he be mad?

Evan snapped out of his thoughts as a black car pulled up in front of him. The man stepped out, and started placing his luggage in the truck. Evan climbed into the back-seat, and tried dialing Jonathan's number.

Hopefully - He'll pick up.

RING~
RING~
RIIIIIIIING~

Jonathan stared at the phone buzzing across the kitchen counter. Evan had tried calling him seven times already, this was the eighth.

What does he want??
Does he really care that much?
Do I really mean that much to you, Evan?...

Jonathan ran a hand over his face. He watched the phone stop, pause, and then start ringing again.

This time, Jonathan picked up the phone, as he pressed the 'answer' button, his doorbell rang. Jonathan furrowed his eyebrows, walking towards the door.

"Hello?" Jonathan said into his phone.

"Delirious?" Evan's voice rang through the phone.

Jonathan couldn't help but chuckle, his hand on the door handle.

"Who else could it be?" He said, pulling the door open.

He nearly dropped his phone, his whole body tensing up.

"I don't know," Evan said, standing on his doorstop, suitcases piled behind him, phone held up to his ear, "You tell me."

Note: Check, before opening the door.
