Normani just continued to cry into Dinah's arms, and Dinah felt her body increase in heat. She was furious, she was honestly just so confused.

Dinah sat in blatant confusion, pondering why anyone would treat a girl like Normani in such a horrible manner. Dinah placed a gentle kiss on top of Normani's head and used the pad of her thumb to rub Normani's upper arm. "Everything is going to be okay, I promise." Dinah whispered to her weeping friend.

"How do you know, Dinah? I love him, I just want him to love me like I love him." Normani began to cry and stutter between words, trying desperately to catch a breath.

Dinah lifted Normani's chin, "look at me." Normani shook her head that was placed in Dinah's hands, "I can't."

"Why can't you?" Dinah asked, trying to look into Normani's deep brown eyes. "I'm just so embarrassed, I can't look you in the eye. I'm so stupid aren't I?" She laughed and cried simultaneously.

Dinah shook her head, "look at me. Seriously, this time I want you to look at me." Dinah felt the weight of Normani's head slowly become lighter as she lifted it up, her eyes meeting Dinah's. She sniffled softly and quietly, "y-yes, Dinah?" She asked trying to catch her breath.

Dinah used her thumb to wipe Normani's tears off of her cheeks, "you aren't stupid, alright? Love is crazy, it makes you feel crazy things and sometimes they make you excuse all of the bad things the person you're in love with does." Normani sniffled again, "love is crazy, Dinah."

"How do you know about love?" Normani asked, her voice soft and gentle. Dinah placed her hands on Normani's face, wiping small tears. "Well, I don't think I've ever been in love–," Dinah closely examined Normani's features, running her thumb gently over her prominent lips, "–I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that."

Normani placed her hand on Dinah's, "no, I know. It's okay." She then smiled. Dinah reciprocated the smile and continued to talk about how love is a crazy emotion, even though she has never felt the emotion first hand.

"Like I was saying, I don't think I've ever been in love. I just know people that have been in love, and most times it isn't just cute Instagram posts and fancy dates." Normani laughed softly wiping her eyes, "of course it isn't, you need to stop watching all of those corny romance movies and actually experience what love is like."

"Just-just make sure you know the person loves you the way you love them, okay?" Normani smiled, and tears began to fill the rims of her eyes rapidly. "Don't make that mistake, okay?" Normani wiped her tears before they fell down her cheeks.

"You're young, Mani. Why did you rush into this so quickly? Being married? Do you know how young you are?" Dinah asked.

Normani shook her head and laughed sarcastically, "love is a crazy thing, Dinah. As soon as you feel it for your first time you feel like you're on top of the world. Just you and your favorite person, in your own little world where nothing bad happens. It's beautiful, I got a small taste of it and never wanted to let it go." Normani began to tear up.

"So that's why you're getting married?" Dinah asked, feeling an empty feeling in the pit of her stomach.

Normani nodded, "yes, D. I love him, and I want him forever. It may sound idiotic, but that's who I would like to spend the rest of my life with. I know things will get better."

Normani added, "he's the love I never want to let go of."

Dinah felt her stomach completely drop, "oh." That was all she managed to say, that was all that was able to spill out of her mouth. Her brain was in flames and all she was able to say was, oh.
