Saving Archie From Himself 1

Every chapter will be in Jughead's POV.

PROLOGUE: Jughead notices that Archie hasn't been himself lately. He shrugs it off, until Jug realizes it might be too late to save him.

It started out like any other school day. I woke, ate a hamburger for breakfast, got dressed, woke Hotdog up, we hopped into Veronica's car and we're off to school. When we got out of the car, I noticed that Archie wasn't around.

"Hey. Where's our lovable ging?" I questioned.

Betty, Veronica and Reggie all shrugged.

"That's weird. He didn't say anything to ya?"

"Nope. He didn't even show up for our date last night." Veronica added.

Hmm. I shouldn't really put any thought into it. Maybe he had to get to school early. I think we might have a test today. I'm in all of Archie's classes... And Veronica's and Betty's and Reggie's classes too.

We all walked into the school, but before I or Hotdog could go any further, we were stopped by the principle. I looked up with my laid back smile and Hotdog had his causal smile too.

"Mr. Jones, we talked about this. No dogs allowed in school." He said staring at Hotdog.

I saw as a kid was walking by he was wearing a red baseball cap. I quickly swiped it from his head and placed it nicely on Hotdog's head.

"I don't see a dog... Do you?" I looked to Hotdog.

The principal gave us a weird look, like he was going to keep his eyes on us. But we go through this every school day. It's just that this time I forgot Hotdog's hat. My bad.

Me and Hotdog were about to leave, but then I saw Archie walking in. He looked exhausted. But we caught up to him.

"Hey man! We got a test today?" I questioned.

Archie just shrugged, did not say one word.

"You okay?"

He nodded, "Just haven't been sleeping well."

"Ah, well I think Veronica is mad at you cause you didn't go on the date you were suppose to go on"

"Oh yeah?"

Hotdog and I nodded.

"Maybe her and should call it splits."

What? That's weird. Archie really really likes her though. I should ask again if he's okay, but he already seems annoyed. Maybe Hotdog and I should just go to class, if I could only remember what first period was...

Really hope you guys enjoyed this! I just love The Archie show and comics so much that I felt like I should do so,etching inspired by it. I can't draw, so writing fanfic is the only other option for me. Anyways, I'm going to try and include a question at the end of each chapter.
