PROLOGUE

I see them. All of them.

They are living their lives to the fullest by drinking, dancing and indulging in debauchery. Well, I don't have time for such shit. I've got better things to focus on.

Out of nowhere, I see her balancing her files with difficulty, simultaneously holding her laptop while trying to make it on time. She is wearing her usual black hoodie and her hair is tied into a messy knot. Even the hoodie fails to hide her curves. She seems to be in a hurry, but what else could she do? Her old Camry can only do so far as to reach her in time as its engine fluctuates.

And here he comes, walking hand in hand with a blonde. Her eyes are shining with love while he is busy checking out the girl in the black hoodie, probably his next target. Poor guy already looks bored of the blonde and soon, she too will be disposed off like the girl last week. It still amazes me that she made him wait this long. Her creamy, shapely legs fit snugly in her skirt and her chiffon top is clinging to her breasts just enough to make a guy want more. Clever slut.

On the opposite lane, there's another guy staggering out of his limo with a disheveled appearance still recovering from last night's hangover. He popped some pills with a swig of water and starts walking towards the school gate. Unlike other rich guys, he is accustomed to ride in a limo and a blonde around his hip while he's on his way home. Nothing different in his schedule; just the routine booze, pills and blonde chicks with an occasional topping of brunettes.

Meanwhile, out of the corner of my eye, I see a guy eyeing me with suspicion. The scrawny kid with round glasses and heavy backpack is trudging towards the gate, making it seem like he is already bored of school. No surprise there, I bet he's just another nerd in the herd. No big deal.

I think everyone should enjoy their school lives while they still can. I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but hey, nobody knows about tomorrow.

Some may watch the gleaming rays of the morning sun while some may be forced to watch oneself drown till they count their last breath with agony.

They say karma is a bitch.
Well, they don't know me yet.

I stretch all my limbs and walk towards the gate, all set to remind the people of all the good times we had together.

The curtains are beginning to rise.
The Past will meet the Present.
Nothing will matter anymore and nothing ever will remain the same after that.
This is just the beginning of the long-awaited end.
Because now, every benign step, plan, action and reason will turn malignant.
