Chapter 1

As soon as she reaches the gate, she hears loud music thumping from the mansion. Martinez mansion is a colonial style house which looks like a club tonight. José Martinez is the host of this outstanding party and the whole school is invited, which doesn't happen that often. José has outdone himself this time.

As she walks through the gates, she sees people are already making out on the lawn. But her eyes are fixed on the red-and-white Colonial mansion. It's the place where everyone dreams of living someday, but only few can turn that dream into a reality.

She walks through the front door and is mesmerized by the interiors of the mansion. Everything feels surreal. There is a grand double staircase in the middle of the living room leading to the second floor. The floor is made of luxurious white marble, which accentuates the beauty of the house. There are various paintings hung on the walls, and each painting is a masterpiece in itself.

But she's soon brought back to reality by the loud music penetrating her ears. She sees people in every corner of the house and everyone is dressed to impress. The living room is filled with people dancing to the blaring music. There are people who are making out on the stairs and there are few who are too high to be in their senses.

Being a Martinez, José has kept an unusual theme for the party. The theme for tonight's party is 'Smoke Only Party'. He is very particular about his theme parties and so there is no booze tonight, only drugs and hookah. José has arranged for a variety of drugs. Name it, and it's here. From LSD, crack, roofies, weed to different flavors of hookah, he has left no stone unturned in making this party too, a success.

The party started just a while ago and people are already out of control. The so-called good girls are so high that they're throwing themselves at the boys who just want to get into their pants. As she passes through the various rooms, she sees people are spiraling out of control. Everyone is busy taking one drag after other. There are couples dancing to the loud, thumping music. She takes a drag of weed from some random guy who tries to force himself on her. She shoves him away, snatches the joint from him and takes a long drag and starts feeling buzzed already.

As she starts making her way through the crowd, she spots Jason Hunt, the famous jock of their high school. He is wearing black pants, navy blue T-shirt and as usual, he is wearing his football team jacket with a big 'J' printed on the back. Today he is with a new girl, which is not surprising at all as far as the saying goes, he is known to change girls like he changes underwear. The blonde is too high and is throwing herself at him. But Jason is not interested in her. He is only interested in one girl, Olivia Fray, who is in the arms of his biggest rival Carter Fox, Captain of the football team. He maintains a straight face, but his eyes give away his hatred for Carter.

Carter and Olivia are standing near the stairs and Carter's hands are around her waist. Carter is dressed up casually. He is wearing a loose navy blue jeans and white T-shirt. Like always, he is the centre of attraction. Olivia is looking smoking hot in a red skirt and yellow blouse. Both are having a good time, but then enters the infamous Ramsay Williams.

Ramsay is like a Greek God with a magnetic pull. As soon as he enters the mansion, all the girls start hovering around him. He grins wickedly, knowing he has their attention. He makes his way straight to Carter and Olivia.

"Hey guys, how's it goin' with the smoke?" says Ramsay.

"Leave her alone. It's her first drag and she is not a pro like you." Carter smirks back. "Want one?"

"No shit Sherlock. You got that one right.", replied Ramsay.

Taking a long drag he adds, "Man, this stuff is good."

"Whoa, how did you do that?" Olivia asks curiously.

"Just like that." smirks Ramsay with an air and takes another drag.

"Show off."

Olivia snatches the joint from him and tries again, but this time, does it like a pro. Both Carter and Ramsay are impressed.

Out of nowhere, José appears and starts walking down the stairs with a packet in his hand and heads towards Carter, Olivia and Ramsay.

"Hey guys, enjoying yourselves? Why don't you come join me above in the room, we got some strong stuff there.", says José.

"Lead the way." says Ramsay.

All of them head towards the room while she is treading behind them, when suddenly Steve calls out for José. She quickly hides in a corner adjacent to the bedroom upstairs, breathing frantically, praying to become invisible for a while. José leaves the three of them in the room, but before leaving, he hands a packet to Carter. Carter and Ramsay pass a wicked smile to each other and sit on the bed beside Olivia.

Each and every senior is invited to this party and no one says 'No' to José Martinez, which means the nerds are also attending the party, while sitting in a corner. The look on their faces makes it obvious that they were forced to attend this party. Not to forget, many of them left early. Now that the hottest guys are nowhere to be found, the rest of the chicks are giving attention to the not-so-popular-guys. The party has started to lose it's glitz and glamour. Eventually, Jason too, disappears after a while.

Many people have passed out in weird places and some are moving out of the mansion. Few are tumbling around or trying to dance. The party has started to fade away.

Slowly, everything starts going blur and then, the darkness envelopes her.
