She went SPACE only to find that Manik had already parked his car outside which meant she was late and needed to rush. She walked hurriedly only to find Navya who hugged her and pulled her to the canteen to tell about her Harshadji ranting. She tried excusing herself but Navya tagged along everywhere. She then received a text from Manik
Where are you? M waiting...
She replied
M stuck with Navya. Please dun go...
She finally escaped from Navya and went to the stairs to find it empty. She felt bad that Manik left and more bad that he got angry because of her and left. Tears formed in her eyes and she turned to leave when she hit a strong muscular chest. She looked up to find that it was him. She felt happy that Manik had not left. She just hugged him tight and he hugged her back too.
Manik:  Finally you arrive. I missed you so much.
Nandini:  I missed you more Manik. I am so sorry that you had to wait. I would have come before but you know Navya met me and she stop...
Psssht...Manik kept his fingers on her lips.
Manik: "You talk so much. I completely understand Nandini. And it's not you fault. I want this relation to be kept a secret and that's why we need to meet like this."
Nandini: "but Manik you don't need to feel guilty"
Manik: "Nandini can we just forget everything and stay like this. I really don't get to spend much time with you. And the little time we get I just want it to be us and no one else. I just want to remain like this."
Nandini: Manik
Manik: hmm
Nandini: What's wrong?
Manik smiled as to how she could figure out that he was tensed.
He rested his head on hers and said I love the fact that you understand me so well.
Nandini: And I hate it when you start hiding things from me.
He sat on the stairs and told her.
Manik:  Nandini m really worried for Mukti. It was Alya who called me yesterday when I was talking to you. She called me over to tell that Mukti is back again taking anti depressant pills.
Nandini: What
Manik: umm yeah I did not tell you about Alya calling me because I thought you will feel bad.
Nandini: Manik I am not worried with your relation with Alya.I am actually worried for Mukti .She is taking anti depressant pills and you are thinking I will be questioning you about Alya.
Manik smiled how she proved him wrong every time. Nandini sat beside Manik and told him
Nandini: Look Manik I am a science student and it's not good that Mukti is taking such pills. If she has such wonderful frens around what is the pain that is making her take those pills. I can figure out that Mukti has been alone in her life but taking pills seriously is a problem we need to find out why. I am sure Mukti won't go to any psychiatrist. Manik why don't you bring Mukti to me? You know in these cases sometimes people confide to people whom they don't like and share their problmes. I will try my best to help Mukti out if she does not have any problem.
She looked to Manik who was just looking at her and smiling. She shook him and told Manik
Manik: I love you
Nandini: What
Manik: I am irrevocably in love with you Nandini Moorthy.
Nandini: Manik but Mukti
Shhh...and he held her face and closed in to kiss her when Nanina's phone rang.
Manik: what problem do these people have when I want to kiss you? And why can't you keep your phone in silent.
Nandini: I am sorry. It's harshad.
She picked the call."Hello. Yah harshad am just coming."
Nandini: I need to go Manik. I am sorry
She took her stole from him and pecked on his lips quickly and rushed near the door. Manik just looked up to her shocked when she turned back and said
Nandini: I love you too
And went outside.
He smiled and got up and went away as well.
