"Don't leave me." I whispered
"No I won't" She smiled. I kissed her forehead
"You said you wouldn't but you fucking did"
"Still thinking of her?" She sat beside me.
"When will I ever stop thinking of her?"
She smiled and said "Kapag handa ka na." Chlodia asked me to accompany her sa mall para mag shopping. Namimili siya ng sapatos.
Someone called me.
"Hello?"
"Boss we need you nagkaproblema sa site ASAP."
"I'm on my way."
Sakto naman kakatapos lang ni Chlodia mag bayad. Hinatid ko na siya sa office kasi may inutos ako sakanya. When I reached the site nagkakagulo sila nag aaway kasi yung Engr at Architect. They kept shouting and then when they saw me nagulat sila.
"Boss."
"Both of you are fired." I coldly said.
They were both shocked. I don't care if they have families to support.
I went to my office and saw my mom.
"What are you doing here?"
"I've heard what happened."
"So?"
"Let me remind you Ria hindi ka makakarating sa kinaroroonan mo ngayon kung hindi namatay ang kuya mo. I bet mas mahahandle niya ang kumpanyang ito." She's mad
"Listen woman, he's dead! He's dead and you can't change that! Why are you even here? I thought you'll stay in Australia for the rest of your life? Leave me alone okay?" And I left her.
Inubos ko nalang yung oras ko sa pagtratrabaho. I'm not in the mood. The next day my secretary found a new architect and engineer and i'm going to meet them.
"Boss they are the owner of D&R." I was shocked. Napatigil ako and looked at my secretary in disbelief
"Boss Ms. Chlodia referred them. I'm sorry they are now waiting in the board room." I fixed myself and went straight to the board room
I saw them discussing and when they saw me they immediately stood up.
"Good Morning! This is Engr. Reyes and Architect De Leon owner of D&R." I looked at them.
"You may now take your seat."
I can't believe she's here. She's in front of me. Damn her face, her expressive eyes that holds the universe, her nose, her fucking lips. That red dress really fits her damn her curves. I just wanna kiss her.
"I expect the best result." And left them. I am the boss here and I want nothing but the best for my company.
I went straight to the office and saw Chlodia sitting and smiling
"How's the meeting "boss"?" She smirked
"Chloe why them?! Of all people you should know that I don't want to work with them! " I'm so disappointed
"Let me remind you "boss" i'm not only the COO of this company. I am also your bestfriend and I want nothing but the best for you! And as your COO I also want the best for our company. Their firm is doing an excellent job for the last two years you should know that. You think I just asked your secretary to call them just to tease you? No! I know what's best for this company and their firm is excelling not only here in the Philippines but also in other countries. Ria you always want your employees to work professionally, I hope you can too. You cannot be stuck in that state forever." Then she left
She always tell that as if it's easy to do. How can I forget someone who made me feel like i'm the luckiest girl in the world? For once I felt like life is worth living. I can't believe that I begged for her to stay.
Days passed and today is the day where I will have a meeting with Mika and Jessey. I heard that they are doing well and my investors were really impressed.
"My investors were really impressed about your performance so the board decided that you will do the next project in Tagaytay, Laguna and Cebu. If you are willing to do so all you have to do is to sign those papers and we are done." My secretary gave them the folders and I was about to leave when Mika called me.
"Ria." I opened the door and went to my office. Nobody calls me Ria. I am the boss.
While I was signing some papers Jessey and Mika appeared.
"Boss i'm sorry they said they have to tell you something." My secretary looked worried because she knows that I don't want to entertain people when i'm in my office.
"Boss regardi---" Mika stopped when Chloe and Ara entered the office.
"Boss we have a problem." They looked so worried.
"What happened?" Napakachill ko lang magsalita kasi hindi naman ako natataranta tulad nila
"The site." Chloe said like something's really up
"There was an accident. Two men died already."
"We saw a malfunction in one of the buildings." Mabilis na sabi ni Jessey
I ignored her.
"Chloe go to the hospital and check the victims. Ara come with me we are going to the site. And call the board members now we are having an emergency meeting in two hours." I grabbed my blazer and my secretary went in.
"We will also go there." Natatarantang sabi ni Mika
"Boss there are no company cars available right now."
Agad na hinila ni Ara si Mika at lumabas na sumunod si Chloe.
Agad akong tinignan ni Jessey at tinapunan ko lang siya ng malamig na tingin.
"Architect you're coming with me."
