A few weeks later, we had to wake up at 6.30 because it was the open day and it started at 9 so we had to wake up, open our door so everyone knew we were awake and then get washed and dressed. I wore black shorts, a YouTube t-shirt and a pair of black pumps so did Annie and hayley but with purple pumps.
About half an hour later, our dorm advisor walked in and said it was time for breakfast so we went down to breakfast. For breakfast, we had: milk to drink; bananas; oranges; pears; cereal and bread.
About an hour later, once everyone had finished, we went back to our rooms because we had to make our beds, open our curtains and brush our hair and teeth again.
When the bell rang again, we went back downstairs and stood together, and then Herring, the person in charge, called out the names of the kids so it was first in age order then people who wanted to stay in their families, like me, Annie and Hayley
Herring started by calling out youngest to oldest ;"Lucy, Harley, Jamie, Ashleigh, Stevie, Kayley, Henry, Harry, James, Jennifer, Robert," then the families; George and Charlotte, Georgia and Arther, Dave and Sylvia and Hayley, Caleb and Julianne.
5 minutes later, the first family came in and as usual, they wanted a young kid, they chose little Lucy, her and hayley got along well together.
"Jamie, Harley, Stevie, Ashleigh, kayley," they carried on "Steff, Harry, James, Jennifer, Robert, hayley, Annie and caleb"
I wasn't listening because there had been so many different open days, and I hadn't been adopted so I wasn't expecting anything.
"Hayley, Annie and Caleb" Herring said again
"Yeah" I replied.
"Billy and Katie please" and she pointed to a man and a woman who looked very nice.

B it's alright and anyway it was Katie who wanted to adopt you and I just agreed.

Weactually we already have the dogs, winnie, gigi and piper so I just wanted to have kids but I couldn't because he was a police officer and he would be working all the time so yeah and then Billy came home a few weeks ago and said that you guys were put up for adoption and we know your parents and I thought they would never do that to you and you would be going to school and nursary and I felt bad for you so yeah.
