When I "awoke" I was in a nightmare like none I had ever experienced before. It felt like I was floating in a substance similar to water. Instinct kicks in and I scramble to hold my breath. One breath and I drown. However, when I open my eyes the feeling of water miraculously disappears but what I see chills me to the core. Or rather what I don't see. Nothing. There was nothing at all except for myself and a void darker than the pitch black shadow cast by woods after midnight. It was literally just me, myself, and I. It doesn't help that I like that song.

"Hello? Is anybody there?," I call out. Fully knowing that doing so would be close to useless I figured it's still better than doing nothing at all. It was actually a little helpful in it solidified the point that this was a void of nothingness as there was no echo of any kind. Honestly, I don't know if I should feel triumphant because I was right or even more scared because I was right.

After managing to exhaust just about every method I knew of possibly waking up from a nightmare I started to ask that one fateful question.
"Am I dead?," I asked myself aloud. Possibly. What did I do to get myself here? No clue. I was always managing to find myself in trouble without actually doing anything. Most of the time.

As much as I'm joking about this I am scared beyond all Earth. What if this is actually it? My life is over. There is so much I haven't done yet. As I began to remember all of the chain messages I didn't forward something that had been working in the back of my mind slowly made its way into the forefront. I'm being watched. That strange feeling you get when it's the middle of the night, you're walking from the bathroom, and all of sudden you feel like something just out of your line of sight is watching you is exactly what I'm feeling now. Only this time I knew for a fact that this was real.

After about five minutes I began to wonder if my shaken mind had just made up being watched. I got my answer. A second later the sensation of pins and needles manifested in my feet. Although this one was strange as it felt more like the buzzing from when I electrocuted myself as a kid by accidentally touching the exposed end of a power cord while it was still in the outlet.

Then all of a sudden it went from buzzing to continuously struck by lightning in an instant and I screamed out in pain. It felt as if each cell I had was slowly being ripped apart and whatever it was that was doing it was working its way up my body. Next up was an earsplitting migraine worse than any I had ever had before. The pain so intense it made me vomit. But as if that wasn't enough a burning sensation engulfed my left shoulder that was so strong it felt as if I was being branded with a cattle iron.

"MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!" Repeatedly I screamed hoping for death because at this point anything would have been better than this. And then it stopped.

When I opened my eyes I was back in my own bed in my room. Looking at my clock I see it's five to four. Everything is exactly as it was just an hour ago. That was one hell of a nightmare. Still having a hard time breathing but happy to see that I'm not dead I take a sip of water from the bottle sitting on my nightstand. I chuckle. Wow, I always knew I was crazy but I didn't know my mind was that fucked up. Reaching for my phone I notice something odd but I can't really make out what it is in the dark so I climb out of bed and flip the switch for the ceiling light. A bright light fills the room and it takes my eyes a second to adjust. But what I see makes my blood run cold.

Just below my left shoulder, a symbol in the shape of a V has been imprinted. And this time with the light on I notice a blood red stone that I've never seen before has been placed on my nightstand. So this means two things.

Everything that just took my place in my nightmare actually did happen.

And I really am being watched.
