Everything is gray

I walked to school as I normally do, today was gonna be a little better since myself and my best friends could talk about something better than our usual conversations. As I walked into the campus I seen Dinah and Normani, they were smoking. As soon as they spotted me they waved and smiled, after finishing off their cigarettes we talked until we went to our first period class. We sat the back of the class amongst all the boys, the class slowly started then in what felt like 10 minutes it was over. Dinah and Normani separated from me to go to their second class of the day. I walked to my Spanish class and as I entered I seen the worst thing I could see. Shawn.

Shawn called me over to sit with him and I did so. "Hey Camila. I-I didn't know you came here." He said in a way that was almost like he was about to turn as red a tomato. "And I didn't know you came here either! I guess it's a small world." I replied with a sense of sarcasm, he just looked at me and he continued to do so for the hour time period of the class. Eventually the bell rang and we were free to go, before I managed to get out of the class my teacher called me back and as I turned around I seen Shawn still sitting in his seat. "Miss Cabello it has came to my attention that you have top grades in this class so we would like you to tutor Mr Mendes" I stood shocked at the teacher, I just nodded my head and walked out.

That's great.

Lunch took way longer to come than I wanted it to. I walked down to the ladies restrooms and I was greeted by Dinah and Normani, they were about to light up their cigarettes. I grabbed one from Dinah's pocket and waited for it to be lit. "So Mila what's up with this Lauren you told Dinah about?" Normani asked as the smoke from her mouth went to form a little cloud just above her. I looked at the floor and just smiled as I puffed my cigarette, "Well Normani. My dad realized that I failed my English class for the whole semester and he decided to get me a tutor. When she came to my house she brought her son but Lauren is just wow, she is beautiful and I was speechless." I continued, "too bad my dad thinks I like her son and my dad likes her." Dinah stood leaning over a sink as Normani smirked "she's got a son? How hot is he?" I looked at her and just shook my head. Shawn wasn't even mildly attractive to me, I've probably seen a dog more attractive than him. The thought of me thinking he's hot is just disgusting. "Shawn Mendes is not hot one bit. He isn't even the tiniest bit attractive." Normani was unimpressed by my statement. After a while of silence Dinah looked at me and said "how about we test how much you'd do to prove how hot this Lauren is." I didn't quite know what she was saying but I knew that I'd be up for anything to show the beauty of Lauren.

"You should take singular pictures of Lauren for us. Just make up reasons for you to take pictures and stick them in a book."

After Dinah  telling me the plan for me to prove the beauty of my tutor, the lunch bell went. My last few classes went by quick and before I knew it I was back in my house. When I walked in the door I seen my tutor Lauren, she was wearing a tight red shirt with some casual jeans. My dad and her were talking to each other most likely about them going on a date or something like that. I was up in my bedroom as I heard her walk out of the door sounding happy. My father stood at my bedroom door smiling as he told me that tonight would be the dinner between the two families.

A few hours with Lauren would certainly be the best moment of my life. I just don't know how I will be able to get pictures of her for Dinah and Normani. I would have to put on my thinking cap because there was only under 3 hours until they arrived for tonight's dinner. I just hope it goes according to plan.
