Everything is blue

Apparently I'm failing English this semester, and my father isn't happy about it so he decided to hire a tutor for me. My dad always makes me wear my best clothing whenever we have a guest over. The guest could be my own cousins and I would have to wear a nice wavy dress, so when this tutor arrives she or he might think I'm proper and polite.

The clocks reached 2 o'clock in the afternoon and that is when the door bell rang and I was met with the most mesmerising eyes I have ever seen. The woman presumably introduced herself and a boy hiding behind her, I didn't catch any of their names because I was speechless. I got out of my trance when I heard a familiar voice, "Hello Lauren. My name is Zayn and this is Camila, my daughter." After my father spoke I nearly fell as I heard the woman in front of me speak, "Hello Zayn and Camila, as you know I am Lauren and this is my son Shawn." The angel started to make assurance that her son could stay and my dad being him said that we could talk during the time him and Lauren talked.

"Hi I'm Shawn Mendes. I am the son of your tutor and yeah." The boy sitting across from me dragged on. I couldn't care less about him, I was more infatuated with his mom. I decided not to leave the poor boy waiting for me to respond because quite frankly I really didn't want to talk to him. "Hey I'm Camila and if you didn't know I am failing English and that's why your mom is gonna teach me a thing or two." As I said the last part so many dirty scenarios popped into my head.

After waiting way longer than I wanted to, my dad and Lauren came from the main room of the house. I seen Lauren looking at me as a sign to say that we would begin the tutoring session, my dad directed the guests to the room and left us alone. I took a seat and Lauren sat beside me as Shawn sat across from me.

The whole time I was working I could feel two pairs of eyes on me and I didn't like it at all. I looked up to see a blushing boy trying to pretend he wasn't staring at me, and there was the angel looking at me making sure my work was being completed correctly. I felt so comfortable as she watched over me but I felt less safe when Shawn was staring at me.

The clocks in the house hit 4 o'clock and that meant my time with Lauren was done for today. Before her and Shawn left my dad talked to them about coming over for dinner one time soon. I didn't know if I hated or loved what he was suggesting.

Having more time with my hot tutor was the biggest bonus out of all of it all but having to spend the time along with my dad and her son was the worst.

My father and I sat down to have our dinner after Lauren and Shawn left. My father started to speak and that's when I knew he liked Lauren. "I'm so glad that you will be able to spend time and put more effort into your English studies. It's just great that your tutor is a really nice person along with her son, Lauren and Shawn are brilliant." My dad continued on until he asked me something I didn't even think of...
"Do you like Shawn like he likes you? I seen him looking at you and that's the way I looked at your mother during high school."
I didn't like Shawn in anyway, I am so gay that I can't function when a cute girl is around. I don't care about guys... I guess I should tell my dad that. "Yeah, he's alright," I responded as he was waiting for my answer.

After dinner I ran to my bedroom and called my best friend. "Dinah!! I swear to god my dad hired the hottest tutor of my life and she's perfect. The only thing less perfect is her son Shawn, he has a crush on me sadly." I rushed until I had no more to say. There was no response at the end of the line until I heard a voice telling me that they would hand me over to Dinah. Thankfully it was her sister who answered and she didn't quite know it was me. After telling Dinah about my newly developed crush I decided to go to sleep as I had to go to school tomorrow.
I closed my eyes and thought of Lauren.
