Hopelessly

Dominic sat on his bed. It was quite large, a king-size. He'd never had one this big. His bed at home was only a double. This one was just as squishy as he liked, topped with endless pillows and blankets. The room was simple, just a chair and a desk, a dresser full of clothes, a nightstand, a wall clock, and a bed. No window. The walls were dark green, the floor covered in fluffy brown carpet. The bed had a similar style, the pillows colored in varying shades of green. The canopy was made of ivy, tendrils twisting around the four mahogany posts of the bed only to come together in a beautiful sheath of leaves. The lights hung from delicate strings on the ceiling. The ceiling was domed, like a bubble. Each light glowed softly, sometimes getting slightly brighter or darker. The yellow glow gave the room a cozy feel. There was a bathroom next to his room. All he had to do was walk through a door that connected the bathroom to the bedroom. There was a massive bathtub and a roomy shower. The sink was strange, simply a faucet and a dish that the water fell into. There weren't any visible pipes. Dominic didn't care. He loved his room.
There was a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Dominic called, but he regretted it immediately, thinking that it probably was rude.
"Matthew."
YES! Dominic thought. He felt silly, like a kid on Christmas morning. "Come in!" He said, quickly patting his hair down and fluffing it a bit here and there, trying to look nice.
Matthew opened the wooden door and walked in. He'd changed his clothes into a black, pinstriped jacket and black pants. He had a simple black t-shirt on underneath. His shoes were the same, black canvas. His hair was black-brown, spiky and fluffy. It looked like he had put some gel in his hair. The dim lighting of the room made his cheekbones cast dark, heavy shadows over his face. His nose was strangely misshapen, as though it had been broken and never healed properly. Dominic thought it made Matthew all the more attractive.
"I trust everything is to your liking?" Matthew asked, his voice deep and calm.
"Most definitely!" Dominic said excitedly. Then he had an idea. Maybe it was just the wine from dinner talking (he'd had a lovely meal with Matthew and Silver), but he decided to try.
"Actually... There's one thing that isn't quite up to my standards."
Matthew arched one eyebrow skeptically. "Oh? And what is that?"
"I'm missing something."
"Do tell what that is."
"You."
Matthew looked startled, having taken a step back. His expression was something between surprise, horror, and disgust. He stared at Dominic for a moment.
"What... What did you say?" Matthew's voice was quiet, unnaturally calm.
"You heard me," Dominic purred. He stood up and walked towards Matthew. He pushed the door shut and pinned Matthew against the wall. The brunette looked terrified, but there was something else hidden in his blue eyes.
"I. Want. You," Dominic said, using the sexiest voice he could.
"I... I..." Matthew stammered, sweat collecting on his brow.
"You what?" Dominic asked in a low voice.
"I..."
"Tell me wh-"
Dominic was cut off by Matthew's lips slamming against his own. The brunette wrapped his arms around the blond, pressing their mouths and bodies together. Dominic couldn't say he wasn't startled, but he definitely thought it was a happy surprise. His lips parted slightly, his tongue slipping into Matthew's mouth.
"Oh... Dom," Matthew moaned, his voice low and smooth.
Dominic pulled Matthew off of the wall and they moved to the bed. Matthew landed on it on his back, Dom sliding on top of him.
"Hello, Matt," Dom grinned.
"Just kiss me, you arse!" Matthew moaned.
He was answered by a firm kiss. Dominic pulled off the pinstriped blazer and tossed it to the ground. Matt slid off Dom's zip-up hoodie, flinging it away. Dom put his hands on Matt's hips, sliding them up to his waist.
"God, yes!" Matt cried out, trying not to be too loud. He bit Dom's lip whilst kissing him, then let go and Dominic moved downward, kissing those lovely cheekbones, that muscular neck. He sucked at the hollow of Matthew's collarbone. They resumed kissing, tongues flicking back and forth, eagerly wanting to continue.
"Dominic? Matthew? What the hell is going on?
Dominic gasped and sat up. Matt turned his head to see who was standing at the door.
Chris.

"What the hell were you thinking?! You've known each other for what, a day?" Chris yelled.
"Why didn't you knock?!" Matthew cried out angrily. The two were standing, arguing furiously. Dominic was sitting on the bed, not wanting to interfere. His head was down, fascinated by his shoes.
"I did knock. But clearly you two were too busy shagging each other to hear!"
"Nothing even happened, Chris!"
"I'm telling Silver."
Matt gasped. "No... Please, please Chris. Don't tell Silver."
"Really?" Chris sneered. "Begging? What can you give me so I won't tell Silver?"
Matt froze. He hadn't thought he would get this far. He smirked. "I'll take you on my next mission and let you claim you did everything, even if that's not how it went. I'll even pretend to be a damsel in distress, just for you."
Christopher pondered this. It was a tempting offer...
"Okay. You have a deal." Chris extended his hand. Matthew grasped it and shook hands with the man. He had basically turned into Chris's bitch. Ugh. I'm the one who makes people my bitch, not the other way around! Matt thought. But there was nothing he could do. If Silver found out, she would either not care at all... Or she would banish him for it.

Dom lay in his bed, not wanting to sleep. He wanted Matthew. But he couldn't have him. Possibly never. Chris owned the two of them now, and they couldn't do anything about it. He closed his eyes, trying to ignore the burning sensation of emptiness he felt. Each second without Matthew was worse than the last. Just as he slipped into sleep, he whispered one last word to himself:
"Matt..."

The grand hall. It was dim, only a few lights illuminating the massive room. Shadows were cast down from the massive braziers on the walls. Standing at one end of the hall were two figures, talking quickly.
"I don't care, Chris! Even if he bribed you, you should have told me!"
The voice was familiar, a female voice, but it sounded much colder than Dominic remembered.
"But... Why would you do this? You said you'd never read my mind?" Chris sounded like he was almost crying.
"I'm always everywhere. I know what people think. Certain things stand out more than others. And when I hear 'Matt owes his life to me', I don't have a choice but to... Investigate."
The voice was so cold... As though it were no longer human.
"Please... Show me mercy, please..." Chris begged.
"Really?" The voice sneered. "Begging?"
Chris gasped at hearing the very words he had said to Matthew earlier. The voice continued from within the shadows.
"How pathetic, Christopher. You leave me no choice."
"W-what are you going to do to me?" Chris was definitely crying.
"You have failed me. If you had told me, I might be more... Lenient. But you didn't. So... You will be punished."
"P-punished?"
"Yes, Christopher. You will be punished for your sins."
Chris gasped. He couldn't speak. Two violet lights pierced the air from the dark, shadowy corner where the female voice came from.
"Are you ready to get what you deserve?"

Dominic gasped and sat up. He was covered in sweat. Matthew was standing next to the bed, a hand on Dominic's shoulder. He was still wearing the outfit with the pinstripe jacket (thank goodness he was, he looked so good). He looked nervous.
"W-what's wrong?" Dominic said. His heart was racing.
"Did you have a nightmare?" Matt asked.
"Y-yeah..." Dominic said. "Did you... Need anything?"
"Yeah," Matt said quietly. "We have a problem."
"What?" Dominic asked, nervous.
"Chris is missing."
