"Dom, what do we do?"
Matt's clear voice snapped Dominic out of his confusion. The blonde turned to look at his friend. He stared for just a moment, before finally speaking.
"She told me... she told me to say something to her."
"Well, go on and say it!"
Dominic stood, staring at Silver's trembling body.
"Fuck, I can't remember!"
Matt pressed his fingers against his temples.
"Shit. Well, try to remember. Chris, Tom and I will buy you time."
"Do you really think that will work?"
Everyone turned to look at the source of the eerie voice. Silver was standing, her eyes cover by the shadows of the dim light and her dark hair.
"Silver, snap out of it!" Chris cried helplessly. Her head turned to his direction, and her chin tilted upward. Glowing yellow eyes pierced the shadowy darkness. She stared for a moment.
Suddenly, Silver's had lifted upward. A massive pulse of dark energy flew out from her palm, slamming into everyone except Dominic and Lee. The WITCH cackled, and left the room in a swift motion.
He wants me to kill you all.
Dominic racked his brain for what she had told him. He couldn't remember. He dashed over to his friends.
"Dom, don't worry about us! Focus on what she told you!"
Dominic nodded and focused.
Dominic, you have to remember!
It was in Nevada, wasn't it? She had taken Dom to Nevada and spoken there about how to stop her.
Dominic, please! Don't let me kill them!
The starry sky, the tall grass, the empty land...
It hurts, Dominic! Help me...
"I've got it!"
His cry was barely heard by the three magic users, who were brutally wounded. Dom saw the blood, the dusty magical residue floating through the murky air.
"Just say it, arsehole!"
Matt's voice was shaky and broken.
"Okay, um..." Dominic stammered.
Please hurry, I can't...
"Silver, you aren't his. She is you now."
She froze. Then, she suddenly twitched and fell to the ground in a motionless pile. Tom scrambled to his feet and ran towards his sister. He placed his fingers gently on her throat.
"She's alive. Very tired and probably in serious condition, but she's alive."
Everyone let out the air they had been holding in.
"But she won't be for long."
Lee's voice pierced the silence. He was standing behind them, darkness flowing from his long robes.
Dominic, thank you. Don't let go yet.
