{MAYA POV}

"Riley???" i panicked, she could be anywhere, doing anything... who knows what state of mind shes in. I need to find her. I need to find her now. I blank out everything that just happend and leave my friends at the matthews house, the first place i think of is topangas..

A gush of relief rushed within me as i heard the silent sobs of the most cheerful and goofy person i once knew...

"Riles, are you okay? Can we talk?" i asked

"What is there to talk about! Lucas likes you not me and there is nothing you can say that will ever change that. And dont try and cheer me up Maya because this will hurt and theres nothing you can do to stop me feeling this way. The boy i loved and still love has fallen for someone else?am i not interesting enough? I mean, has he just got bored of me and moved on?" she said fighting through the tears,

"Riley Matthews you shut up right now. You are the most goofy, interesting, and hands down most beautiul girl i know. So you can assume all these things about lucas and the way he feels, but we will never truly know if we dont talk to him, will we?" i couldn't bare seeing her in this state.

"i cant talk to him, not now, he probably doesnt want to see me anyway.Hed rather see you and while your together try and snogg your face off once more!"

"Riley it was a game! Why would you dare him to do that in the first place?!?!"

"Because i knew... i knew he liked you. For past few weeks you two have been acting different, Maya you havent called him one nickname this month!"

What are you trying to say?" I ask in confusion..

"YOU LIKE HIM TOO!" she shouts, everyone in topangas stared the whole place was silent... however the silence was peaceful and i froze in realisation, i like lucas friar?A girl like me doesnt fall for cowboys, do they?

" so im right you do like him, dont you.."

"Riles i dont know right now, ive never really thought about it until now... if i did like lucas would you stop being my friend?"

" i guess it would be weird but i support anything you believe peaches, and if that thing you believe in is lucas, then im with you all the way..."
