The ED

-Angels point of view -

I woke up at 6:30am to my 9 month old daughter ,Antonia, crying. So i quickly got up and when to check on her, she looked really pale but had a blue tinge to her face which caused me to panic.
My grandfather ,Guy Self, was down stairs as he always seems to be awake and gets up really early, i shouted to him to come up stairs to Antonia's room, after what seemed like an hour but was actually only a few minutes he came into the room, he took one look at Antonia and told me to that we needed to take her to the hospital as there was something wrong with her, by this point she was finding it really hard to breathe.
We rushed around to get her nappy bag sorted and quickly rushed to Guy's car, we speed of up to the hospital.
" whats wrong with her, why is she so pale" i cried as i held Antonia close,
" i don't know sweetheart but I'm sure she will be alright once we get her checked out at the hospital" Guy tried to reassure me, i was completely in hysterics and terrified for my daughters life.
We quickly reached the hospital and we all got out of the car and hurried into the ED.
" please someone help my daughter she can't breathe" i shouted once inside the ED
A female nurse named Rita came rushing over
" ok sweetheart can you tell me what happened to your daughter" Rita asked me, as a male doctor named Dylan put Antonia on a hospital bed in a side room.
" i woke up to her crying and when i checked on her she was really pale so i shouted to my grandfather who decided that we needed to take her up the hospital and her breathing has changed" i cried to Rita while Dylan checked Antonia, he put a small oxygen mask over her face and got anther nurse named Jacob to take blood.
" ok you did the right thing to bring her here, she is in safe hands with doctor Keogh, is her father around should we call him" Rita asks
" her father isn't around she has never met him and hopefully never will" I replied
" may i ask why" Rita asked
" lets put it this way he did what he liked to my granddaughter without her permission and if that piece of scum every comes near my granddaughter or great granddaughter ever again he will regret the day he was born" Guy stated as he came to stand behind Angel placing a hand on her shoulder, with this Rita walked away to chase up the blood work for Antonia
" ok Angel and Mr Self, Antonia is stable but having checked her results i feel that we need to send her of for a chest x-ray" Dylan said
" why do you think there is something wrong with her heart" Guy asked
" we fear that there many be a hole in Antonia's heart" Dylan answered
" well get that chest x-ray asap, tell them that i asked for it and they should be quick about it" Guy demanded
20 minutes later and Antonia's results are back from the chest x-ray
" it is as we feared and you daughter has got a hole in her heart" Dylan stated
" can it be fixed" i asked
" yes but we will need to send her up to darwin to be accessed and treated, max can you take her up to darwin for me, now" Dylan said as max started to wheel Antonia into the lift with me and Guy following
When we arrived on darwin there was a doctor with brown hair and light blue eyes just like mine waiting for us. He took Antonia into cubicles and shouted for someone to get doctor march,
After about 10 minutes doctor march walked in, we looked at each other
Doctor march looked really shocked
"  hello mum"

Yup i now a cliffhanger on my first proper chapter ( my old English teacher would be so proud :)) Hope you all liked it, hopefully i will be updating soon, let me know what you though as the only way to improve is from your feedback
