Night In

You put on a big white shirt and some comfy black shorts. You kept your make up on, though. It looked nice. And you let your hair stay down. When you walked back in, Dirk had just hung up the phone. You asked what he had ordered, but he said you had to wait and see. You couldn't help but smile a little. He went to sit on the couch, and you followed him. You curled up in the corner of the couch as Dirk started channel surfing. After finding nothing good, he went to Netflix and put on pretty much one of the greatest, most horrible films there were. Three Headed Shark Attack. When it started playing, you smiled over at him and he motioned for you to come closer.

"Come on."

You did so and snuggled up under his arm. About twenty minutes into the movie, there was a knock on the door and Dirk got up to answer it. There were three bags worth of food. He paid for them and set them out on the coffee table after closing the door. Two of the bags were the Thai food, and the third was all desserts.

"Wow, You must be starving to get all this for just the two of his."

"Eh. You've had a rough day, I think it's well deserved."

"Gee... Thanks Dirk... Hey, can I ask something?"

"Yeah, shoot."

"Are you mad about what happened?"

"Well yeah, that was a dick move on my brother's part."

"So it's just because your brother was a dick? There's nothing else to it?"

"Yeah."

You couldn't tell if you were disappointed or relieved at this. Of course you didn't want him mad at you, but maybe a little more than just his brother being a dick. Best not to think about it now. There is a whole glorious take-out feast just for you and him waiting to be eaten. You grabbed a box and started eating, and so did he. You almost spit out your rice when the guy in the movie went to the water thinking that the shark was a whale. God it was funny when he got eaten. Dirk chuckled, but then really started laughing after seeing your reaction.

You had finished up your food and the movie, now it was time for desserts. And a new movie. You decided to turn on The Interview. Dirk hadn't seen it yet. This was gonna be fun. You pulled out a mini cupcake from the dessert bag and ate it. You were already so full, but dear god it was good. You ate a few more, then finally stopped yourself anf sat back. Dirk ate for just a little longer than you, then sat back as well. You were under his arm again.

As the movie went on, his arm wrapped around you more and more until both his arms were holding you close. He was so warm and surprisingly cozy considering how tone and strong he looked. The way he held you made butterflies dance around your stomach. And you could swear that your heart was pounding all through your fingers. He made you feel so safe. It sure was weird, but it felt so right.

"Woah..." you whispered to yourself. You were crazy for this guy.

"Hm? What was that?"

"Oh, uh... Just the tiger in the movie. It's pretty."

"Yeah..." He raised an eyebrow. He could tell that wasn't it, but he decided not to push it.

The movie ended and neither of you moved. You just didn't want to. It was perfect and you didn't want it to end. He reached over and turned off the TV, then brought his arm back around you. This made your cheeks warm up a little. He simply wouldn't let you go. Then his hand went down to yours and your fingers intertwined. You bit your lip a little and turned to look at him. He had a bit of blush, but still the same stoic, cool, handsome face.

You could see a little movement in his throat before his hand came up to your cheek. You could feel your face growing hotter. His face moved a little closer and so did yours. Then, finally, your lips touched.
