Chapter two :
"Mells!" jay says as she sees me. " Have you met my friend jack?" Jack? Nice name. He was taller than me and I could see his face better now that I was closer. He had dark brown hair and freckles. He also had nice brown eyes. I knew i was staring but I felt like I knew him already.
"Nopes. Hey I'm Mel." I say with a smile and a flip of my hair.
"I know I'm in your French class." he said laughing.
"Ohhhh! I thought you looked familiar." we go on like this until the bell rings. He was so easy to talk to unlike most of the guys at my school. Dont get me wrong I have tons of guy friends but they're brotherly unlike Jack seemed to be.
I don't like him though.. I cant because I can see the way Jay looks at him. He is on her list I can tell.
We had to walk in different directions so me and the rest of my group walked the opposite direction than jack.
"hey Mel you know how you set people up?" Jay asked trying to look innocent.
"Unintentionally but yeah why?" I knew the answer before the question came out.
"I like jack! You've gotta set us up! And I know how," jay whispered the last part in my ear, " sit with him at lunch today! If we do good then we can stay at the table and you can talk me up!"
My heart sank to my stomach which is odd because now I CAN'T like jack. But I better get to work. Crap nuggets. This will suck.
