The New Boy In School

Chapter 1

❤ Marcelly's POV ❤

Drawing out of boredom, I listened to some music so I can pass time. The good thing was that we were writing notes to study for homework. We had a test on Friday (can you believe it?) and I definitely wasn't looking forward to it. Naturally I passed with an A or B every time but I preferred to be home early so I could draw all day.

'*sigh*.....I really want to go home already....this day is so slow it's practically dead. Ha. Please let something interesting happen at least....'. "Ok everyone! Listen up!! Stop whatever you're doing and look upfront. Today we have a new student who'll be joining our class."

For once I took off my headphones and looked to see who was here. "H-hello...My name is Nick Reverend...I-I came from Gemica C-City." He gave a shy smile and looked away. Miss Anderson took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes. She cleaned the lenses as she put them on.

"Ok Nick you can sit anywhere you want but make sure it's next to someone trustworthy and smart. Most of these girls only know how to chat all day." I heard some of the girls complained but I put on my headphones to get back to work. What I didn't notice is that he sat right next to me and silently scooted close. I could feel burning glares at me as I sighed.

'When do we get new kids like him? And what's with all the damn glares? Miss Anderson was telling the truth anyway...maybe I shouldn't be judging all those girls...some of them are smart but they're all back stabbers.' I felt small taps on the right side of my headphones. I paused the music to see whoever was doing that.

It was the new boy who tapped on them, looking a bit sorry he did that. "S-sorry! I didn't mean to upset you...I just need help and I didn't want it from the other girls...", he whispered while playing with his fingers. I smiled real big when he said that. 'He probably doesn't want to fail on his first day here. If that's a possibility then why me over all the other girls?...'

"Sure but next time tap the desk ok? I like my music without extra beats ya know."

He blushed a light pink but smiled back at me and took off his hood. Nick had dark brown hair, pale peach skin, ocean blue eyes making him look really shy but at the same time curious. 'He's kinda cute for a new boy....wait a minute focus!'. I snapped out of it and shared my notes with him.

~a little time skip~

We both finished our notes early so we talked about stuff we like. He loves the same music I do, same books, same cafe etc. It was great to finally meet a guy who understood me for once. We looked at each other for a minute and smiled. He seemed to be thinking a bit to himself.

"S-so what are the girls like here?.....They seem kind of....how do I put this....messed up."
I nodded knowing that some of it was true. "Actually these girls are smart but you have be careful especially with their 'leader' Raven. She rules the school and trust me once we leave, rumors will start that a new boy is in school. Hopefully she doesn't make you her slave..."

Hearing this made him worry but Nick only smiled back at me. 'Wait why is he smiling? Does he think I'm kidding?'. "Don't worry about all that. It's the same junk at my old school. Except with stuck up kids." I smiled hoping he was serious but I let it slide.

"Ok I believe you. But don't come to me when it's hard to get her off your back." Nick patted my head and started messing it all up. "H-hey! Quit it!!", I giggled as he smiled at me. I stopped when I heard two girls a few seats upfront talk about us.

"Omg can you believe Nick sat with that weirdo? He should've sat next to us! He's a total hawtie."

"I know! That girl's dumb if she thinks he'll ever like her."
