(Taylor's POV)
"Josh said he's kind of in a bad mood, Taylor. You sure you want him to still do the duet?" One of the people who was supposed to go get Josh twenty minutes before said. It was a five minute break and Josh wasn't there.
"I'll call him and see what's wrong." I went into my dressing room quickly. "Josh pick up!" I whispered. I hope it wasn't what I thought.
"H-hey Taylor.." Josh's voice sounded sniffly like he'd been crying. I knew why and felt so bad for Josh. When his dad passed away a month ago, he felt like this and I had to watch Josh over.
"What happened? Was it your mom?" I felt like crying myself but I had to keep my composure. Josh was the baby of his family because of when he was born. He had a nephew older and it was a blow to Josh to have lost both his parents in a short period.
"Y-yea.." Josh whispered. "Taylor, I can't do it tonight. Just let me grieve and I'll do it tomorrow." After promising he'd go to sleep and not cry anymore, we ended the conversation and I changed into an alternate dress. I was still going to do the song without Josh. For him.
"Film this," I asked one of the people filming. I swallowed my pride and thought of Josh. I decided to change the song to a different song that reminded me of Josh.
