Del's POV


I have never ran so fast in my entire life. M-my best friends, gone! I couldn't bear it. I choked up a bit. CC felt my tears.


"Delly, why are you crying?" CC looked up to me with weak but caring eyes. CC. I couldn't forgive myself if she left us.


"N-nothing CC, it's fine," I said wiping away tears. She smiled weakly and snuggled in my arms. I blushed and calmed down. We kept running until we got to a hollow. "In here!" I directed the girls inside.


"What's happening?!" Clarity screamed.


"Shh! You don't want them to hear you!" I hissed. We turned to Star who usually had the solution to most problems, but she was frozen with fear. We sat in silence for ten minutes until we heard footsteps. Our hearts stopped beating. The footsteps got closer and closer. Darkness filled the hollow. We coughed and wheezed trying to breathe.


" Del! Clar *cough* ity! CC! I love you guys!" Star sobbed. We all held on to each other laughing at memories of friends and fun to lighten the last moments of our life. CC was squeezing me tighter.


"Del this is the last time I'm going see your, your handsome face." She started crying. "This is the last time I'm gonna hear your laugh or smile, or, or, or..." Her sentence was stopped by a kiss, a kiss from me.


"Heh heh, you taste like cotton candy," I chuckled. CC smiled for the last time. I looked at Clarity and Star and smiled. Such good friends, so little time.
