Knocked Out

Clarity's POV

"Clarity! Are you okay?" My brain unfuzzed and I saw Annie looking down at me .

"I'm okay, where's Del?" We waded through the water looking for Del. I heard Annie scream and I looked back then down. There was a stream of red blood flowing through the water. I felt sick. Had Del survived the fall? I tripped over a leg, which turned out to be Del.

"It's Del, we gotta help him!" We managed to pull Del out of the water, but seeing Del's face wasn't exactly a blessing. While me and Anthea, though not entirely unscathed, landed safely. Del on the other hand, was covered in bruises, had a black eye, had a huge gash on his back, and a huge gash on his forehead which was still oozing with blood.

  "He's. not. breathing!" Anthea gasped. I went pale. Del was one of my best friends! I would not let him die. I used CPR to get the water out of his system. While it was awkward putting my mouth on Del's, I kept at it. I got water out of him, he was breathing, but he still didn't wake up.

  "Del's out cold." I stated, "Should we stay where we are or move?"

  "We should probably move to shore and get help!" Anthea answered. Now we had to carry the 2nd largest friend ( T is the largest) of ours to shore. Anthea's not weak, she's just not strong? I don't know how to say it nicely! After a few hours of trying to get Del to the shore without dropping him, we gave up. The two of us were exhausted and if we kept going, we both would've blacked out with Del (that would be an even WORSE situation!) " Should we call for help?" Anthea asked.

  "Sure, but we'll have to shout." There were three problems with using our phones: A. No wifi, B. Our phones aren't waterproof, C. Our phones didn't survive the fall. We shouted, no one came. We shouted again, no one came. We were cold and hungry, but we kept shouting. Anthea grew tired and fell asleep, wheezing in her sleep. She probably hurt her ribs on the fall. I felt dizzy after a while. I tried to shout again, but no sound came out. I fell. "Dang it Del, I told you not to kill us..."
