102 unarmed black people killed by police officers in America, yet you tell me black lives matter!? Names like Kevin Matthews, Bettie Jones, and Leroy Browning to name a few killed! Unable to live a life of comfort with family and friends. Why should I a BLACK individual be seen as less when compared to the mighty great WHITE man! I tolerate the verbal physical & many more abuse that you've dished out yet I'm still seen as weak worthless & nothing more than a black dumb fool. I'm bound for greatness my heart won't take this, No more! Laughed at and teased the life of a typical black fool. You hate the skin I'm in yet you made love to our wives children and friends of such skin pigment Black! You painted your faces black and mocked us now tan your skin bronze & contour your faces a darker shade yet you still have hate for what you portray and try to become. RACISM you say I'm different because of my race yet I walk and breath same as you, different because of my skin pigment and hair type? How hypocritical. You expect me to stay dumbfounded weak and poor but little did you know that my color is riches alone. B L A C K Beautiful my skin color will not define my outer beauty for it alone is power & royalty. Loud I will not be silenced by the tone of your roar. Abused you yelled beat raped and tore away my very worth yet still I stand!. Ceased captured from my home land to suffer and fight for the dear life that I grasp. Kindness is all I showed you in spite the terror you've brought to me yet you use strong words such as hate towards me & my kind. I forgive you I won't let your faults and wrong haunt my marry life.
Black Lives Matter By~ ShakinaPennerman
I'm not a activists nor am I trying to portray hate to the other Race that we've separated Blacks & Whites. I wrote this poem to spread awareness! It sickens me and aggravates me to see that racism still exists towards the people of black pigmented skin or brown skinned even, all because folks are uneducated of our history or taught to hate us at such a young age. It pains me to know that racism is still when we've worked so hard for equal rights but will we ever be seen as equal in the eyes of the GREAT WHITE MAN!?
