Grayson's POV

I awoke to the sound of thunder outside of my apartment. Yawning, I sleepily looked over to the time plastered on my tv.

12:37am

I then realized the girl sleeping in my arms. I looked down at her, taking in her soft blonde hair and her plump, pink lips.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't think Aubrey was the slightest bit attractive. The truth was, I don't think I've ever seen two years do so well on someone like her.

I honestly don't know what I was missing in high school. Of course Lauren was hot, but this girl sleeping in my arms was the next level.

I watched her for a while, every small breath coming from her mouth. After a few minutes, She awoke.

Aubrey's POV

I yawned and stretched as I woke up before quickly noticing I was still laid on Grayson's bare chest. I immediately shot up off of him, highly embarrassed. Tucking a fallen strand of hair behind my ear, I lightly smile at him.

"Morning." His deep, raspy voice says.

"Morning." I reply. Looking out of the large windows, I saw that outside was cloudy, glum and still raining like last night.

After a few minutes of silence, I decided to speak.

"So I should get going," I purse my lips. "Thanks for letting me stay the night though."

Just as I begin to get up from the couch, I feel Grayson's large hand clasp around my wrist, holding me back.

"You don't want to stay for breakfast?" He looks at me weirdly and I sigh.

"I guess I could, are you sure?" I raise an eyebrow, still feeling bad about staying here for so long.

"Yeah, positive." He confidently says, getting up.

My breath hitches as I look him up and down. The black adidas sweat pants he was wearing are pulled down a bit, giving a nice view of his defined 'V' line. He wasn't wearing a shirt either, showing off his abs. Not to mention, his morning hair was perfectly messy as it was plastered on his forehead.

Grayson trots over to the kitchen, pulling out a skillet. I follow before sitting on on of his bar stools.

"So when is Ethan getting back?" I curiously ask, starting conversation.

"Sometime tomorrow I think. He was visiting his girlfriend in Manhattan for the weekend." Grayson answers and I slowly nod.

Ethan never had any girlfriends in high school so that surprised me a bit. Grayson was the one who stuck with his own group two years ago. Only the fellow members of his Lacrosse team along his girlfriends' popular friends. As for Ethan, he was basically friends with everyone, even me. Of course we weren't that close, we only talked every once and a while.

"So what college do you go to?" He raised an eyebrow, looking up at me.

"NYU. I'm on break right now."

"Oh that's cool." He smoothly says and I nod.

To be honest, right now I felt physically gross. I haven't showered from last night and my teeth weren't brushed either. I've always been kinda a freak about personal hygiene.

"Grayson?" I quickly ask. He looks up. "Do you mind if I shower real quick?" I nervously ask.

"No, not at all." He purses his lips and I smile slightly before heading over to his bathroom.

Shutting the door behind me, I quickly turned the shower on the hottest setting and stripped from all of my clothing.

I stepped in the shower and let the scorching water trickle down my back and through my hair. After a few minutes of peace, I was quickly interrupted by my name being said.

"Aubrey?" I heard Grayson say and I jumped a bit, getting caught off guard.

I turned the water off and covered my bare body with the shower curtain when I peeked out. There Grayson was, red faced, as his lips slighted party. He looked like he forgot was he was going to say but he then snapped out of it.

"Oh, um- Your ex boyfriend texted you. I just thought I'd let you know" He nervously said and I bit my lip as my stomach sank.

"Thanks," I softly said. "You can set my phone right there." I directed my eyes to the counter and Grayson followed my directions.

"Do you need another shirt or something?" He asked.

"Yeah, that would be nice. I have some spare leggings in my car so I can just wear those." I smiled slightly and Grayson nodded before leaving the bathroom.

I finished off my shower, thinking of what Locke could've possibly texted me.

When I stepped out, I saw a neatly folded camouflage printed shirt on the counter and I slipped it on after drying off. I still had my spandex on that I was wearing under my dress, but I still wanted the leggings I left in my car. Taking my hair out from the towel, I dried it and brushed my wet locks out with my fingers.

I sighed and gulped before picking up my phone. I held it tight in my hand, hesitating weather to turn it on or not.

was he asking to get back together?

was he apologizing?

or was he just tying to make it worse?

I exhaled sharply and clicked the home button.

Hey Aub. I'm really sorry about last night, I don't know what I was thinking. Please meet me at my dorm in two days. I'll give you space until then.

My face heated up and I felt like I was going to be sick to my stomach. I couldn't get back with him just like that? I still did have plenty of feelings for Locke, but he can't just play around with my feelings like that.

I sighed and attempted to collect my feelings before leaving the restroom, heading to the kitchen.

As I turned the corner, I was completely shocked at my sight. The pan Grayson was cooking eggs on was in large flames. Along with a frightened boy who was trying to put out the fire.

"Oh my God!" I screamed and ran over to him before snatching the hot pan and throwing it in the sink. I turned on the water and the fire went out.

Breathing heavy, I turned to Grayson and looked at his red face.

"So I guess we're eating out?" He pursed his lips with a small chuckle.
