where do we go now? oh, sweet child o' mine...

"Where do we go from here?" Clementine broke away from Serj's lips, her eyes bringing him back to reality. Immediately this loss of connection was felt by both of them, as the space between them suddenly felt heavy. Serj was at a loss of words himself. Was this moment even real or was his mind playing a trick on him, as usual. He would never know.

"Wherever the wind takes us." He said breathlessly, his forehead resting on hers and their hands locked together. He yearned for her touch, the feel of her lips upon him, the hunger, the lust.

"Shut up."

"No I mean it. Clem, at this point of my life, whatever happens happens. I'm done with planning and all that.. I just want to live." He finished and motioned for her lips again. Clementine complied but the hesitancy in her could be felt. Her lips were small but soft against his slightly rough and stiff lips. Their lips slid past one another but none of them dared to deepen it further. Perhaps because both of them felt that there was much still left unsaid.

"Serj, I'm serious... what does this mean? For you, for me, for both of us..." She asked hopelessly. Her onyx eyes were staring deep into his, looking for answers. Serj just realised that he didn't even know Clementine's real eye colour.

"It doesn't have to mean anything yet. We're just.. two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl." He finished lamely, knowing very well how cheesy using a Pink Floyd line sounded like. Clementine smiled a bit, understanding why he'd said just that.

"But Serj.. I don't know you and you don't know me and when you do, you'll find things that you don't like and then I'll find things that I don't like and then you'll grow tired of me and then..." she was going on and on and on, as if she was retelling him a story that had already happened before. Her eyes were glassy all of a sudden, but Serj shushed her by placing his index finger on her lips, silencing her immediately.

"Right now, I don't see anything I don't like."

"Oh but you will..." she said feeling hopeless.

Not knowing what to say, he just uttered an Okay and shrugged his shoulders. Almost in disbelief, Clementine couldn't help but laugh. This man was truly one of a kind. Okay she said as well and her arms extended to his. In a swift motion, her lips were once again on his, kissing him with all her might. Both of them put as many words, as much as they wanted to say but couldn't properly into that silenced kiss.

They both stayed like that for a while. Lost in each other's arms, hoping for the world to stop at that moment. There was something chaotic and almost sorrowful about their touch. Both had been through so much pain and both yearned for relief or in Clementine's case, forgetfulness. Both wanted to cease being a part of this world that hurt, both wanted to feel eternal and...ethereal. Their touch seemed to create this illusion, this surreal feeling so they both tried to preserve it for as long as they could, as if nothing else really mattered.

Serj found himself in Clementine's living room, well her and Felix's living room. They had decided to take the night off, much to Felix's dismay but Underground surely could survive one night without Clementine. On the spur of the moment they had decided to leave for Clementine's house as it was too cold for them to remain out in the open, despite the heat of their bodies. Clementine had disappeared in her room, trying to locate cushions, blankets and all that, while Serj was left in the living room. It was a rather small room, but spacious enough for three to six people. Decorated in a rather indie fashion, the room had two couches with fairy lights, a small TV, an insane amounts of photographs and sketches all over the walls and right in the middle there was one wall painting, of Clementine, a man and a woman whom he'd never seen before, and Felix. But they all looked happy, Clementine was looking at this man with what seemed like a spark in her eyes. Whether that spark was deliberately drawn, or whether it was just paint that had run off, Serj wasn't really sure but he hoped for the latter to be true. The Clementine in the painting had her eyes on him, this man seemed to be looking at her as well, while his arm was around her shoulders. He didn't really know what to make of that pose.
