Dear Mr. Day,
My day? There's not much to say about my day, and it's clearly not going to be as interesting as yours, what with filming and writing and being on the Internet. I did what any normal person would do. I woke up, ate, had an appointment for the doctor, ate again, read a book or two (or three), ate again, and wrote this. I'm obviously not the most exciting person out there, but there isn't much to do. But on the bright side, I've at least found a new person to talk to, even if it is only through paper. I feel as if we've made a small little connection through paper and pens, and that makes me happy. I don't think you will understand how happy that makes me feel.
Also, I would like to get out of the way my thanks to you for responding, and giving me the opportunity to do something with my life, even if it is just writing a quick letter every few days, I mean, that can occupy me for hours (sadly). It's nice to have something to do.
As for University, I was in it for a year, but I had to be pulled out at the end of my second semester. It really sucked. But I did study cinematography, and I was planning on spending my second year in Los Angeles working as an intern for a film company.
I wish I had more I could talk about, but I really don't. If you honestly wanted to know how my day was, it was scary. But so is every day. You never know what's going to happen. For all I know, today could be my last day. Any day could be my last day. It's terrifying.
On a different note, I guess I shouldn't have written this in ink. I guess I can't change anything I wrote up there now. Sorry about that. I'll talk to you soon (hopefully).
Sincerely,
A
I read through her letter carefully, before thinking of a proper reply and writing it down.
Dear A,
Why are you so afraid of dying? You're 24, I'm pretty sure you still have a long way to go. And about Uni, that's too bad. Why couldn't you go on to your second year? What about finishing your first year? I think you would have made a great worker in film, whether it was writing or directing. Maybe you could start that up again soon.
And I can't say I don't agree with you when you say you feel like we've made a little connection. That's a pretty cool way to put it. It's a funny thing, to know that I've never seen you before, and yet we've made a connection.
And finally, I just want to say, don't be sorry about what you write on here. I find reading your letters intriguing, if not thought provoking, and I won't get mad or freaked out by what you say, and I won't judge you by any of it. Trust me.
Sincerely,
Alex

I have edited both of Chapters 1 and 2, just making them a bit better, fixing paragraphs I didn't like and tweaking minor details. You could go back and read it, but if not, it won't make a difference.
And, if you haven't heard anywhere else, I have a new update schedule for this book, it will be updated on Wednesdays and Fridays. So the new update will be in two days.
Finally, if you are reading this book, and voting, and commenting, thanks. Because once this book gets started a bit more, it's going to go places. And this is my favorite book I have. So thanks.
