“Eloisa was my second wife… my first wife was Joanne but, it was proven to be null and void because the judge who did the ceremony was not licensed to do such. We had one child.”

            “Had? Why is that?”

“She was the reason why I chose to leave you, she was diagnosed to have tumors on her right brain and was given 5 years to live but, hers was miraculously extended for almost 3 years; she died just 2 months before your mother died.”

“I’m sorry, Dad. I was filled with hatred towards you.”

“No, Hija, you shouldn’t be… because I never explained to you and your mom.”

“The rest of the year I spent in Madrid was spent on my work as a clerk in a government office.”

“So, where’s your first wife now? Is she all right now?”

“She’s now in Spain with her family;  she’s a Spanish-Filipina.”

“I was there on your mom’s last night and her interment but, I was afraid to show up to you.”

“Really? How did you know that she died?”

“Your uncle Ronnie told me about her death so as soon as I heard the news, I flew back here from Spain.”

“I’m really sorry that I hated you for 10 years when I shouldn’t… you just did your duty as a father. I just wished I  had met my sister before she died.”

“I’ll bring you to her tomb in Madrid next year.”

            “Thanks, Dad. I love you.”

“ I long to hear that from you, my princess.”

            “Princess?”

“Yes, that’s how I call you when you were a little child because your name came from Princess Belle of Disney Princesses and honey was your mom’s favorite when you’re in her tummy.”

“Really? That’s funny to know… I  never realized that.”

“Btw, it’s your best friend, Louise set up this moment for us, and he told me that it would be the best gift he could ever give to you on your big day. Where is anyway?”

“You must thank him more and if there’s someone you should  owe a lot now, it’s him.”

“Wait, I’ll call him on the phone and invite him for dinner. I  missed your dishes, will you cook one for us?”

“Wait, Belle do I need to know something?” *Teasing smile and look*

            “None, Dad… we’re best friends.”

“I won’t be mad if ever, I know he was grown well. I would be very happy if he will be my son-in-law someday.”

            --Dinner with him… Realizations

The table was set on their garden; their favorite place since their childhood. Ross was playing his guitar and sings. Belle was staring at him and her eyes show her happiness. How she wish that she could tell him what she feels but, she just can’t.

You said it again, my heart’s in motion

Every word feels like a shooting star

I’m at the edge of my emotions

Watching the shadows burning in the dark…

And I am in love…

And I am terrified…

For the first time and the last time

In my only life…

“Belle, I’m leaving…”

“Why?’

“I have a scholarship grant in New York Business College in Manhattan.”

“To be honest with you, I don’t know what to feel.”

“I’m sorry, Belle. You know that I’ve been waiting for this.”

“How many years?”

“Four years.”

“That long? How about your Business course here?”

“It will be honored so, I don’t have to take some basic subjects and what’s best there is, I don’t have to worry about the house where I will stay plus I have monthly allowance of 2000$”

“Alright, when will you fly for that?”

“As soon as possible but, I still have few documents to comply beforehand.”

“I’ wait for you to come back.”

"I wish time flies, if I would just be asked, I will not leave you but, you know it's a dream come true for me and I don't want it to pass and leave me regreting."

"I understand and you my support."

Belle is happy for him but she knows in her heart that she never wants him to leave but, she is not to hinder his dream. She know how long Ross awaits for that opportunity.
