She never questions how long they'll last
He always stays by her side
Till she sleeps, till the end is nigh
She never denies right from wrong
... He buys a guitar to sing her a song
He weeps and withers when she's gone
She does so too when she's done him wrong
the rare occasion of a fight occurs
There's shouting and screaming
She's physically hurt
He comes home wasted
So is the love
What happened to affection?
The wedding bells done
They agree to part ways
They feel its best
Whatever happened?
To love, all the rest?
He promised to love her
To stay by her side
Until the night
That night she died
