Chapter Three

Chris explains how the challenge is to jump off the cliff, and the team with the most jumpers wins the challenge, or something like that.

I raise my hand immediately before Chris turns to me and I ask "Ooh, can I go first?"

"Sure but--" Before he even finishes what he was saying I run from where I was standing and and jump off the cliff. As I'm falling and screaming "WOOOHOOOOO!" I notice two large circles; a smaller one and a larger one. I just figure we're supposed to aim for the smaller one and that's exactly where I land.

As I resurface I see the rest of my team peering over the edge and cheering me on and stuff. By now a boat pulls up in front of me and takes me to the shore.

I watch as Duncan then jumps, completely expressionless with his arms folded, followed by Bridgett. Now the whole team jumps one at a time (except for Sadie and Katie who jump together, and DJ who doesn't jump at all) although some land more safely than others since Tyler hits a buoy (A/N ???). That musta hurt.

Everyone joins me by the shore, including DJ who returns with a chicken hat. "I'm guessing you couldn't jump?" I ask.

"Yeah, I been afraid of heights, ever since I was a little kid". He replies, shamefully.

I awkwardly pay his back reassuringly, well at least for me it was awkward. "That's okay, we just gotta hope at least one person from their team doesn't jump.

Bridgett turns to me "You know there were sharks in there, right"

My eyes widen but then I just shrug "Oh well, I didn't die so it's all good"

I watch as the screaming gophers jump, except when Justin jumped, he didn't even land in the 'safe zone' and as the sharks came to eat him or whatever, I swear the sharks eyes turned into hearts. And what was really weird was that they even swam him back to the shore, unharmed!

The last person to jump was Owen,

I was seriously scared for his life when he jumped

Owen prepares to jump by taking a run up as Chris shouts encouraging words at him. He still jumps.

"Oooohhhhh craaaaaapppppp" Owen descends into the water, creating a huge wave which causes me to fall back on Duncan's chest. I immediately stand up as he chuckles. I roll my eyes but stretch out my arm, giving him a hand to stand up.

From the top of the cliff, I hear Chris shout through a megaphone "The winners... The Screaming Gophers!"

As the other team cheers, I hear Owen say to Trent "I, um, I think I lost my bathing suit"

Everyone shouts things like Eww and stuff and Chris descends from the mountain, ON AN ESCALATOR. Why the hell is there an escalator on the mountain?!

**Later**

The screaming gophers are ahead of us by a lot since they won the challenge causing them to get to use wheelbarrows to carry their wooden crates. Meanwhile our team is struggling to push and carry our crates.

There is a weird silence going on apart from the the other teams muffled singing of 'pop on the wall'.

After about ten minutes of walking, Tyler puts down his crate and says "Ugh, I've got to take a wizz"

"Hurry up, we're already behind" Eva replies.

I stop carrying my crate and a stretch my arms and back, I heard about twenty of my bones crack. "Ooh, I have to go too" Katie speaks up.
