Chara's POV

" Race you to the Undyne hedge!"yelled Chara to an excited Asriel.
"You're on!"

Wow! We must have been playing for hours! I better go home now before my parents think they kidnapped me, what with the war between the monsters and the humans. I wish it wasn't this way.

"Hey Asriel? What would happen if the monster lost? Where would you go?"
At this Asriel looked shocked and and was obviously searching for an answer.
" I guess we would go to the underground ruins." Answered Asriel solemnly. " Chara? No matter what happens, we'll be friends right?"
" Of course, Asriel! Nothing could break us apart!"

5 minutes later

"Asriel! My son, are you okay?" Asked King Asgore.
" I'm fine Dad, what's wrong?"
" My son, we lost the war. We have to leave while we still can."
" What?!? We can't leave! Chara's here and this is OUR HOME!!!!"
"I'm so sorry Chara, but you have to go home. You were a great friends and I hope to see you again someday. Maybe when this is over we can come back and you and Asriel can play around the hedges and Toriel can make you butterscotch and cinnamon pie. I loved you like a daughter and you are part of this family. I will miss dearly and I know Asriel will be heartbroken but the safest place for you is here. Goodbye, Chara."
" Asriel! I won't forget you no matter what!!!"

Third person POV

When Chara finally got home, she almost didn't recognize it. It was in ruins. It was destroyed by a terrible fire and floods and tornadoes caused probably by Sans' magic and also Asgore's. Seeing and registering the absolute destruction she burst into tears and hopelessly searched for days on end for her beloved family. But it was for nothing because she knew from the first moment she saw it they were dead.
