A pale boy with a pointed face walked around Diagon Alley with his mother, shopping for his first year at Hogwarts. They walked around until all he had to buy was his robes and owl. The little boy wanted to rest so badly, since they've been walking all afternoon. His grey eyes landed on an ice-cream shop, making his orbs light up. He told and begged his mum that as she buys him an owl, he'll be waiting inside Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. His mother reluctantly agreed as the boy sprinted towards the shop.
His mouth watered at the sight of the delicious variety of flavors that he saw. Pink, violet, blue, and other colors filled his eyes as he skimmed every flavor of ice creams in the shop. Deciding that he wanted to try the chocolate chili, he approached a rather lanky man and ordered his desired ice cream.
"That'll be five knuts please," the man smiled down at the pale boy before him. The boy handed the old man some money that his mother had given him. He greedily took the ice cream, which the old man handed him.
Gazing upon the room, the little boy looked for a place to sit. The shop was packed with young kids of his age with their parents; only a girl seemed to be alone in the corner of the room. Picking up his courage, he walked over to a girl with bushy hair and soft eyes.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" the boy asked the odd girl stiffly.
"Sure, go ahead," the girl smiled, revealing her buck teeth. Extending her hand, she introduced herself." I'm Hermione Granger, and you are?"
"Malfoy, Draco Malfoy," the pale boy smirked. He shook her extended hand, making the little girl grin. Draco curiously peeked at Hermione's ice cream, asking her what flavor it is.
"Chocolate and raspberries," Hermione stated.
"Why such a boring, usual flavor?" Draco asked." Why not try odd ones like mine?"
"Well, I am not sure if I'll like it," she answered." I prefer to order the things that I like and know."
Draco playfully scrunched his nose up." Don't you get bored of the things you know of?"
Hermione thought for a second." Not really. It brings me comfort."
"Here, try mine," Draco said, pushing his ice cream cup towards hers." It's chocolate as well--- it just has a little surprise."
Hermione hesitantly took her spoon from her cup and dipped it into Draco's. She stuffed the spoon filled with the brown, gooey substance into her mouth, squinting her eyes as she tasted the flavor. Her eyes suddenly widened as she fanned her mouth." Hot! Hot!"
"Why, thank you," Draco joked. Hermione slapped him in the arm and glared at him.
"Not kidding!" She said as she frantically searched for water. Draco handed her his bottle of water, which he had not yet drank. Hermione gratefully took it and drank almost half of it, muttering thank you's after drinking.
"This is why I prefer things that I know," she muttered as Draco let out a small giggle.
"Oh come on now," Draco said." Admit it; it's fun to experience something new!"
Hermione glared at Draco. " yeah, because burning my tongue is absolutely lovely!" She said, sarcasm dripping from her mouth.
Draco laughed and Hermione broke into a grin. They both talked for a few more minutes until they both had to go. They shared a good amount of laughs and giggles, forming an unexpected, but pure friendship that did not last long.

Updates on this book will be much more slower than my other Draco fic! I apologize for that! The reason why this one will have slow update is because I have to read the Harry Potter books to make the scenes align with this one! I truly apologize.
