When Harry awoke someone was playing with his hair. "Did that all really happen?" he asked, his voice still thick with sleep.
"Yea...it did." Fred's voice answered. Harry's hand automatically went to his still flat stomach. One of Fred's hands joined his. "Have I told you I love you recently?"
Harry chuckled, "No, but it's nice to hear. I love you too, Fred." Harry sighed, "Do we really have to continue to read?"
Fred frowned, "I don't think we have a choice anymore, love." Harry slowly got up and changed for the day Fred following suit. "I think Mum's got breakfast all done, why don't we head on down?"
Harry nodded and entwined his fingers with Fred's as they made their way through the halls of number 12. When they reached the kitchen everyone was sitting there with either something on their plates or coffee in their cups. Harry chose to sit in Fred's lap in a chair next to Minerva.
When Harry and Fred had some food in their stomachs Dumbledore spoke out loud. "Now why don't we all head back to the den. I believe Minerva, Sirius, and Remus need to speak to our young Mr. Potter." When the ex-headmaster saw Fred's frown he continued. "Mr. Weasley may stay as well." Fred gave a smirk as his twin and Ron frowned and followed the Order into the den.
"Harry, we've all spoken and agreed that once Sirius is freed we would all like to adopt you. Until then Minerva would like to have full custody of you. You'd be able to visit and we'd be able to visit you but you'd never have to go back to the Dursley's ever again." Remus said softly.
Harry couldn't believe this was happening to him, "Y-You mean it? You'd like...you'd like to adopt...me?"
Minerva gave Harry a soft smile. "Of course I'd want to adopt you little lion. I love you like you were my own son...once Sirius is free he and Remus can move into McGonagall Manor with us. That's only if you want us to."
"Of course I do!" Harry looked thoughtful for a moment. "What about when the baby's born? I know it doesn't sound good...but...would Fred be able to move in? I really don't want to keep the baby from Fred and I don't want to send the baby away with Fred so it would only seem logical-"
"Harry, Harry, Harry, of course Fred can move in. I wouldn't dream of keeping your child away from either one of you." Minerva said softly. "We can sign the papers during our next break. Alright?"
Harry nodded and got up from Fred's lap. "Let's go get this over with." he said taking Fred's hand in his.
The three adults followed the couple from the room and they all sat where they were seated the day before. "Who would like to read first." Dumbledore asked.
Harry shrugged, "I might as well get it over with." Dumbledore nodded and levitated the book over to the teen.
Harry was bleeding.
"Of course." Fred groaned, his hands on Harry's flat stomach.
Harry just grinned up at him, "Sorry." he said with a shrug. Minerva couldn't help the small chuckle that came from her mouth. The two were just too cute.
Clutching his right hand in his left and swearing under his breath, he shouldered open his bedroom door. There was a crunch of breaking china. He had trodden on a cup of cold tea that had been sitting on the floor outside his bedroom door.
"What the-?"Everyone in the room looked somewhat surprised and confused at that.
He looked around, the landing of number four, Privet Drive, was deserted. Possibly the cup of tea was Dudley's idea of a clever booby trap.
