His footsteps echoed through the ancient castle, as he made his way down the marble staircase, his heels clamping with authority. He walked through the corridor over to the corner room, his hands lingering on the door handle, as he examined the pin drop silence, assuring himself that his lover was asleep in their bed upstairs. He yearned to be back in the bed with her, to weave his hands through her golden hair, to kiss her soft, ivory skin, and place his lips on her plump ruby ones. She was perfect, but no matter how much he convinced himself that he couldn't erase the image of that girl. That girl who, with one glimpse had stolen his heart. He never thought that he could me more attracted to a woman than he was to Rose, the woman that slept upstairs. But this woman, there was something about the twinkle in those big brown, droopy eyes. The way their eyes had met as he was walking through the town of Transylvania and she was in a carriage alongside her little sister. Her carriage just happened to stop as their eyes met, as did he, and they shared a long gaze before her pink lips tilted into a heartstopping, childish smile, exposing two dimples on both her cheeks. She had then turned away from him, and faced the direction of her sister. But that didn't stop him examining her, the way her wild, dark hair fell in loose curls down her back, and how her dark blue day dress hugged her small, thin torso, and often would he see her golden complected cheeks rising as she smiled at her sister. To be clear, in the few seconds he had seen her, before he continued walking and her carriage made its way across the roads, she had stolen his heart, which was already the property of another.
He opened the teak door of the corner room before gently closing it behind him, before walking to the easel working onto which he spent his restless nights. He had already began another masterpiece, promising to himself that this would be the best piece of art he had ever done. He positioned himself on the stool with a pencil tight in his hand as he drew, and admired the wild beauty that faced him.

"Xavier, you must hurry up. Or else we will be dreadfully late for the party. " Rose called to him as she placed on her white heeled shoes, and picked up her small white clutch bag. She was getting irritated at the time he was spending away from her in that dreaded room of his in the corner, with that dreaded easel and those daft paintbrushes. They had an important party to attend, where all the wealthy people of Transylvania would come, and she had to meet them once again, and enforce her title as future Queen. Rose was getting infuriated by now, what kind of nonsense was this.
Why could he never live in reality?
He was the Prince of the Transylvanian Kingdom, he couldn't spend so much time in his dream world.
Angrily, she walked over to the corner room and thrust open the old teak door, to find Xavier absent.
"Xavier?" She called.
Rose walked to the easel to see what was consuming most of her lover's time. She was met by an image that infuriated beyond help. How dare he? Before her was an image of a gorgeous woman with long, dark and wild hair which gracefully fell down her chest, her plump pink lips were curved into a breathtaking smile exposing two dimples on her raised cheeks of golden complexion. Her high cheekbones added to her extreme beuaty, but what angered her the most was the beauty which lay in her chocolate brown eyes, which were coated in thick black lashes, and they were drooping in a seductive manner. Who was this woman? How long had Xavier known her? Anger whipped through her soul, as she raised a paintbrush, dipped it in red paint and flicked it onto her chest, where her heart was.
