The Truth Behind Uchiha Itachi (Part I)

As soon as Sasuke reached his brother's apartment, he slumped on the couch in the living room. He was really tired after all that signing and taking at least a hundred pictures. Too tired to even change his clothes or take a shower. His manager had called him many times but he had simply taken out his phone's battery and tossed it on the table. He was in no mood to hear his manager yelling at him for going out of the apartment without his permission. He had started living with his elder brother after coming to Konoha. He said it would be difficult for him to live alone in an apartment with his perverted manager. He didn't want to live in the Uchiha mansion or alone either so, the only option left was his big bro's apartment.

Uchiha Itachi, Sasuke's older brother had been living alone in Konoha. His father had at first been against the idea. He thought that living with Itachi might affect Sasuke and he would also refuse to become the next heir to the Uchiha Corporation but Makoto had convinced him otherwise by saying it would be a good thing for the brothers to strengthen their bond. After that Uchiha Fugaku had said he didn't care where Sasuke lived as long as he brought home good grades and was willing to take over the corporation. Itachi had been more than happy to let Sasuke live with him. He thought it would be good to make up for his past mistakes.

Itachi had spent a hard childhood obeying his father's orders. Although he lived in America, he was brought up in the traditional Japanese way to become a perfect heir. Known as the little master of the household, Itachi had hated his life. He had realized that his parents didn't really care about their children much, especially his father who only took interest in Itachi due to the fact that he was the next heir in line and usually ignored Sasuke. Due to his father's cold attitude Sasuke although he loved Itachi dearly had started being jealous of his perfect brother. He always tried his level best to impress his father by working hard and getting top grades but still it was never enough as Fugaku always said that he still had a long way to reach the level at which Itachi was. Sasuke being a kid always sulked and felt rejected but he never blamed Itachi for anything. Instead although he was jealous of his brother he really looked up to him, always waiting for him at home, asking him to teach him everything he knew and wanting to spend more and more time with him.

Both the brothers knew that the only love and comfort that they could find was with each other. Itachi also cared for the little one more than anyone could imagine but as he grew older so did his responsibilities and he couldn't spend much time with Sasuke despite him wanting to. He would always have to attend meetings with his father although he was merely twelve at that time. He had a lot of burden on his shoulders at such a young age to become the perfect Uchiha and that; he could as Itachi was born a genius. But all of this made the brothers grow apart. Itachi would always flick Sasuke's forehead saying things like 'forgive me Sasuke' and 'maybe another time'. His father too, had started ignoring Sasuke completely. Itachi realized this and hated his father for it. He refused to let his father do as he pleased. At thirteen he decided he had had enough. He didn't want his little brother to be ignored and left behind so he decided it would be for the best if he left. Uchiha Fugaku had been enraged with Itachi's decision; he said he has already known this would happen. He told Itachi to do as he pleased and never show his face again. Sasuke had heard the argument and was shocked.

FLASHBACK.
Sasuke had come back home after school. When he entered the house he heard someone yelling. The sound was coming from the washitsu. Although there mansion was built in a modern European style, it still had a single traditional Japanese styled room or the washitsu. Sasuke dropped his bag and ran towards it. The beautifully decorated sliding door to the washitsu was closed but Sasuke could hear everything. He realized it was father yelling at someone, but whom?

"Is what I heard from your mother true?" Fugaku asked.

"Father??" Sasuke thought. "Is he yelling at big brother?"
