One Man's Heart But Another Man's Baby

Chapter two

The above picture is how I imagined the Mr Williams character would look like.

"So you're not going to say anything. Not even a stupid thank you!", he yelled.

"Why the hell are you yelling at me", I said with my voice trembling.

"Because I just found out that my assistant is pregnant and I have to give her couple of days off because doctor ordered for her to rest for few days", he looked at me not even blinking as he said that so loud like I was deaf.

"Why is that a problem? Other employees get sick days and I haven't gotten one since I started working with you", I answered as calm as I can. Had to keep reminding myself " dont kill him , he's your boss".

"Because your my ASSISTANT, not a day goes by when I dont need you by my side", he answered shouting on the word 'assistant'.

"Okay Sir I'll understand if you have to let me go".

I looked all around the room so that i can avoid his face. All I can think about is "I can't be pregnant, I can't be pregnant, I just can't be pregnant".

"Your a good assistant I can never let you go" he sounded like his voice had calm down.

I sat up on the bedside with my feet hanging and my back facing him.

"The doctor said you have an appointment tomorrow at 2pm so I'll let you leave work early", after those words left his mouth, I knew that he was not joking when he said I was pregnant and at that moment I just started sobbing and coughing, while tears just flowed down my cheeks. I don't think I have ever cried this hard.

Moments later, I felt arms wrapped around me. I let out all my loud cries on his shoulder while he rubs smooth circles on my back and I start to calm.

We stayed in that position until the doctor came and told us that it was time for us to leave the room.

I would have never thought that my boss would be by my side one day to comfort me.

I guess it's true when people say you never know who you might need in the future.

As I'm walking to the receptionist to sign out of the hospital, I hear foot steps behind me and I immediately start to panic and walk faster but the steps were still soo close. I'm afraid to turn around because what if he came back to hurt me again because he knows that I'm pregnant now.

Okay it's time to face your fears Bay!I'm going to turn around in 3......2......1, I stopped and turn and hit someone's chest.

I looked up at Mr Williams and my heart beat goes back to its original rhythm.

"I'm so sorry, I thought you left while i was changing ", I said staring at him with my still puffy eyes and taking even breaths again.

"I was just taking a phone call outside. Why would I leave ? I'm the one that brought you here so I have to be the one to bring you back". He said with a reassuring smile.

It's at that moment I realized that he has a really nice face structure and that I left my car at the hotel parking lot.

We reach in the parking lot of the hotel and I had a hard time unbuckling my seat belt.

"Mmm.... Mr Williams it's stuck", I said pointing to the seat belt.

He got back in the car and tried unbuckling it himself and he also had a hard time. "I'll be right back", he said and ran inside the Hotel.

He came back with a scissors in his right hand. I look at him confused and he laughed at my reaction.

He got as close as he can to the seat belt and cut it. When he was done I looked into soft ocean blue eyes. His face was only like an inch away from mine that our forehead was close to touching.

Than I remembered my rapist had blue eyes, I looked away quickly and got out of his car.

"Thanks for the ride", I said while quickly approaching the hotel.

"No problem, I'm happy to help and you can have the rest of the day off, looks like you took the news pretty hard".

I nodded my head and walked towards my car as tears begin to flow again because of the reminder of my sudden situation.
