"No!" One of my cousins yelled into the arcade machine. He'd spent his last two-pence coin, and his face exuded exasperation as he pushed his face against the mechanism and he sighed dramatically, fogging up the glass. "I just want that stupid keyring." He groaned. I watched stiffly as I stifled a yawn, and I merely observed him sit on the floor and try to work his arm into the prize slot. Rather than objecting to his actions, I took a few steps away from him as I knew he was likely to set the alarms off. As far as I was concerned, he's a complete stranger to me when he'd have to be escorted away by the security guards scanning the 90's-style arcade.

"If it's a stupid keyring then why do you want it?" I retorted, leaning back casually onto one of the machines as if I had came alone.

"Because Squirtle is on it." He said, as if I didn't have eyes to see for myself.

"Yeah thanks Sam, I realise that." I replied, rolling my eyes. "I mean you've already spent a fiver trying to win it but it was probably only worth about a tenth of that. Let's go." I said. We had been standing in this dreadful, yet somehow overcrowded - arcade for an hour now and I just wanted to leave and find the rest of my overbearing family. Whoever suggested a camping holiday in a tiny caravan, with a cheesy kids cabaret and a crappy arcade in the middle of the countryside was a good idea, frankly, was thinking like a complete and utter idiot. This is hell, and I would rather be anywhere other than here.

"Oh but I need it! Please Alice, just lend me a pound? I promise we can go after that." He cried, crawling towards me suddenly and begging on his knees.

"Fine! Just.. stop doing that." I said, motioning to his desperate demeanour, and he grinned victoriously. I took a pound from my purse and passed it to him, and he thanked me earnestly before jetting back to the game designed specifically to scam kids of their pocket money.

I went back to my mindless state and let my eyes drift over other people thoughtlessly throwing their money away, and thinking they were having fun whilst doing it. My state came to a halt when I saw from the other side of the room there were four boys stood watching me. My body tensed and to say it made me uncomfortable would be an understatement. I looked behind me to check if they were looking at somebody else, but they weren't. I looked back, and two of them were now smirking. The other two looked somewhat apologetic.
