Chapter 1: Ready to surf?

"Coffee?" The teacher asked as she looked at me. "Yeah.." "Hello, I'm your first hour Science, Mrs. Duncan." She looked over at Cody as he was standing next to. He had his notebook in my hand. He was muscly I could tell. He stood their looking around and then he finally spoke. "Hello, Curdy." As she started talking I went to find my seat Cody followed me. He sat next to me. I had a normal lab partner but she always acted like she didn't want to be. "Cody you'll be Kelly's lab partner, Here is a list of supplies you'll need for my class." She handed him the list. "Kelly you can share you book with Cody and now we can get started." She started teaching Cody often look over at me I tried not to look back. He smiled. "What?" I whispered. "I can't help how beautiful you look." His face started turning a bright red. "I can't believe I just said that." I heard him mumble. I pull a piece of my blond hair behind my ear and blushed. *RRRRIIIIIIIIINNNNG.* I got up from my seat and waited for Cody. He soon followed behind me. "Where are going next?" He asks. I just can't get over his accent. "Uh-mm.. Reading." "Great after can we go surfing?" I smiled at him. "Well I was planing on it." "Good you can come with me. And you can meet my Sister and Brother. Alli and Tom." He smiled at me. "Great!" I said with a smile back. We headed off to our next class. We went to class, to class all day the teachers said the same thing over and over. Welcome to my class blah blah blahh. I was just ready to get my mind off things and surf. The last bell rang and school was out people where already leaving I saw Cody talking to Emily.

The school @#!*% . I mean the school's girl that talks and flirts with every guy she can get her hands on. "Cody, Cody, CODY!" He nodded his head at her and walked towards me. "She's nice." "Yeah. Just don't get screwed over with her little games." He laughed at me. I grabbed my backpack and closed my locker. He had his backpack in his hand. "Lets go!" He said he grabbed my hand and ran outside. I saw my mom's car. "See you at the beach 10 minutes?" "YEEES." He let go of my hand and ran to the car. "So who's the guy holding your hand over there?" "Curdy, Dang it I mean Cody." "He's nice looking." That was always my mom's way of saying that I should date him. "Mom stop I'm not ready." "Whatever you say honey." I soon arrive at my house, my mom headed back to work. I grabbed my white Bikini put it on, I grabbed my surfing shirt it was tight fitted. I grabbed my phone, ipod, and headphones, And my board and start heading over to the beach. Cody was already there. I saw a blond haired girl and a brownish haired boy. I walked over to Cody. "Hey!" His face lit up when he saw me. "Hey." I said back. "Oh this is my sister Alli and my little brother Tom." They both greeted me this a smile. I smiled back. "Ready to surf?" He asked lifting his eyebrows. "Yeah." I look back at him smiling. "Okay LET'S GO!" He said grabbing my hand. I swim out far enough to catch my first wave. Here it comes I thought. I duck my head under the water pull myself up and before I know it I'm riding the wave. I make lots of sharp turns. I can feel Cody's eyes watching in amazement. The wave slowly makes its way past and I fall in the water. I pull my self up and walking over to Cody. "Think you can keep up?" I walked past him and whispered in his ear.

He laughed. "I believe the question is can you keep up?" He ran out into the water and caught a wave. His motions where so quick. We surfed for an hour or so. "Let's catch one together." I looked at him funny. "Okaay. I said was we ran out to the water we swam out far waiting for one. When we got out the wind slowed down. I started to swim back, Cody stopped me. "Wait?" He said. "Where are you going?" "The wind stopped nothing's coming." "I know but stay out here with me." I looked up at his Innocent little face. I smiled and shook my head. We sat on our boards. "So.." He looked over at me. "What up with that girl that threw her coffee on you?" I laughed. "She a jerk. She thinks she can have any guy she wants including mine. See, I used to be popular I had a lot of friends I was well liked. But that's when I was dating my boyfriend Kyle. He was great, We never got in stupid arguments or anything. I really thought we'd be together till college. We planned what college we'd go to and how everything would work out. But during the summer one night he left my house. His dad came to get him. Long story short, a drunk driver hit his dad's car. They died that night." My voice started crackling. I felt like I was going to cry. "Oh. I'm sorry.." Cody said pulling me in for a hug. "Nah. But after this death I became a nobody. Slowly people forgot who I was. After that day I promise myself I'd wait for the perfect guy to make my life. Honestly I didn't think I would find another guy like him. But soon that school year I had become the dead guys girlfriend.." I slow said as tears started rolling down my eyes. Cody hugged me again. I layed my head on his chest. I lifted my head. "It's getting dark we should probably get back to the shore." Me and Cody started swimming back I set my board in the shack, I normal don't do that but I was to lazy to carry it back to my house. Cody layed his their too. "Is this okay?" He asked me while looking at my board. "Yeah." I looked around and I didn't see Alli. "Hey where's your sister?" I asked him. "She told me her and Tom are going to leave early they had homework." Oh Cody sat next to me. We sat their and watching the sunset together.

I layed back to start looking at the stars. "I'm really sorry about your loss." I Turned my head and look at him then turning back. I smiled. "It's okay. You're the first person I had the courage to tell." "Really?" "Yeah, For some reason I know I can trust you." He smiled at me leaned over and kissed my cheek. "I know I can trust you." I looked at my phone "9:05" My phone read. We should go. I got up grabbed my things and we started walking. He walked me home. "See you tomorrow." He smiled at me and left. I watched him walk down the street to his house. I walked inside, and head strait for my bed. Just like that I was asleep.
