I felt so amazing telling him that. It's shocking how saying those words can make me feel better.

"For what darlin'?" He asked confused.

"For everything. I really appreciate it all hun."

He only smiled in reply. He would never really understand how happy I was, I didn't think. He pushed the wheelchair to his car, helping me into the passenger side seat. He took the wheelchair back to the front of the hospital and let the nurses know it was there. He jogged back to the car and opened the door. He looked so damn adorable today for some reason. I started assuming it was just all my drugs I was on.

"You are going to stay at my place for a while until I can get you your own place. Your sister is fine with it already, so she will be there when we get home. Oh, I also had her get you some of your stuff from your old place. She said she would just ask you when you got home if there's anything else you needed." He kept talking as I sat in the passenger seat in shock. A few minutes later, he asked me if I was okay.

"What happened to my father?"

"He's in jail, going to prison. Your sister told the police everything that has been going on.... I am so sorry honey. Why didn't you ever tell me about it?"

I only gave him a blank stare. I was unsure of what to say to him. Should I tell him the truth or should I lie? I decided to just not say anything. He nodded as if accepting that I wasn't going to tell him.

It was only a twenty or so minute drive from the hospital to his home, yet it felt like forever long. I couldn't stand the silence after I didn't say anything to him, so I turned on the radio. It blared out 'Carolina' by the band Parmalee. I loved this song so much. I hummed along to the tune as it played through. I hadn't known Robert was into country music, though. It was actually quite shocking to me. I didn't see him as the type to like country music.

A few minutes later, we pulled into his driveway. "We're here!" Robert had a glittering in his eyes. It was beautiful. As he grabbed the crutches out of the trunk of his car, I admired the beautiful view of his home. I was quite shocked, actually. It was nothing I had expected.

He easily carried the crutches inside and then came back to my door. He opened up my door and unhooked my seatbelt. "I'm just going to carry you inside, okay?" I glanced up at him and shot him a smile, letting him know I was okay with it. He smiled back at me and reached down into the car. He picked me up carefully and shut the car door with his foot. As we walked, well as he walked, I snuggled into his neck, taking in his fresh scent of Axe.

He opened the bright blue door, careful to not accidentally hit my legs against the door. I appreciated that effort he put forth to keep me from injury. As he walked inside with me, I scanned the room quickly before we were attacked with a loud greeting of, "SURPRISE!" I jumped in Robert's arms as he laughed. There were so many faces I didn't recognize, but what truly shocked me was the familiar faces from school. I never thought I would see anyone from school at a surprise party for me. It almost made me tear up.

"Thank you all. I really appreciate it." That was all I could say. I was so shocked by this. It took me completely off-guard. I saw my sister and almost jumped out of Robert's arms to run to her and hug and kiss her, but he held me tightly so I couldn't go anywhere. "Can you please take me to my sister?" I asked him softly. He nodded his head and carried me over to the living room where my sister was sitting on the couch.

"Hey sis, are you okay?" I asked her. She said she was which was good enough for me. I smiled as she hugged me gently. Then I felt a sudden jeering pain in my leg. I wanted to cry out in pain but I couldn't. I looked over to where Robert was now standing pleading him with my eyes to come back. He looked over to me and immediately rushed to my side.

"What's wrong honey?"

I pointed to my leg. He immediately ran to the door and outside to his car where the medicine was. He took out a bottle and opened it. He pulled out two pills and got a glass of water. He handed me the pills and instructed me to take them, and then he handed me the glass of water. I took a large gulp and thanked him. I looked around to see that thankfully no one was watching.

About two hours later, I had finished conversing and was getting tired. Most of the people had left. I called Robert over to me. "Can you take me to where I'm sleeping please? I am so tired." He nodded his head and leaned over to pick me up. I leaned my head against his chest as he took me into a room. I assumed it was his room because of the guyish things lying around. He laid me down on the bed and put a light throw over me. I thanked him as he walked to the other side of the room and turned off the light. I fell asleep as soon as the light went out.
