"Micah come here! Dinners ready!"

Micah was sleeping comfortably under her soft, pink blanket, in her room. She jolted awake at the sound of her owner and friends voice, Amy. Micah pushed herself out of her small cat bed and stretched out all four of her paws.

"Wake up Micah!!"

Micah groaned as she once again herd her name being called out. She walked over to the door and forced herself out the doggy door made just for her. While she walked down the hallway to the stairs, she smelled the fresh sent of meat, or steak to be exact. It smelled so juicy and tenderly cooked it made her mouth start to water, which quicken her pace a bit more as she walked down the stair case's steps.

One, Two, Three...

She counted as she walked down, then reaching the bottom after only 32 steps. When she reached the bottom of the steps she turned to the right and looked at the front doors. They where fancy, white double doors that she never walked past. Micah loved exploring, just as much as she loved screaming, running, and expressing herself, but Amy told her outside those doors lay a world of hurt, betrayal, and evil. As much as Micah wanted to take a peek behind the doors, her instincts told her she would be attacked by an evil bush monster, like Amy said existed in the outside world. Shaking those thoughts away she Turned left away from the doors to the main room. There was nothing much in here except a small coffee table, some bean bags, and the entrances to the other downstairs rooms. She walked past the main room furniture and turned left into the kitchens dining area. The kitchen was split into two parts, the dining area, which was a rectangle shaped room with a big table, big enough to fit a family of 5. The other half of the kitchen was the actual cooking area, Amy used that area to cook so Micah wasn't allowed in there since also according to Amy "I don't want to be eating blobs of pink fur with my breakfast."

Amy was in the room already with Micah's food, a decent sized steak, set in a small pink bowl, with her water in the bowl next to it.

"Hm, 9 minutes and 58 seconds..." Amy said with her hand covering her chin like she was deep in thought. "That's a new record, but I could be better". Smiling, she sat down and ate her own food, which was some strange green crunchy stuff.

                                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two hours after dinner, Micah curled up on Amys legs while she layed in bed looking at her device she called "phone." Amy was scrolling on some "social media" website, blurting out in a small laugh here or there. Sometimes Micah will pick up words that Amy uses every now and then because 60% of what she says doesn't make sense. Micah had to know the word "phone" because Amy was constantly yelling out "Have you seen my phone?" during the day.
Before Micah could drift off to sleep, She was jolted awake my the sudden movement of Amys legs and loud, savage barking and yelling out words that couldn't be heard over the snarls the where mixed in with it. Micah looked over at Amy who had her head between two pillows and was muttering something like "---Damn dogs----Neighbors----woods----Can't get any sleep around here---" Her phone was on the "charger" so that could mean the battery died or she went to sleep.
Micah got up off of Amys bed and walked out of the room, trying not to steep on all the papers the pretty pictures on them that where scattered throughout the floors of her room. When she got to the door she pushed through the doggy door and down the hall way to the end of the hall. The house was scary at night, and the snarls and barks outside didn't help the creeping fear that slowly consumed her thoughts.
