4. The Assignment

It was 6:00am Tuesday morning, I made sure to set my alarm early for today so that i could take a run before getting myself ready for classes. I jogged a few laps around the school grounds and afterwards went to check on my car. The morning dew was still resting on her body which made her look even more beautiful. Staring at my baby, my watch alarmed of and when i looked at it, it was already 7:15. I headed up towards my dorm room to get cleaned up and changed for classes. After getting ready i got my book bag, put my earphones into my ears and headed down to the cafeteria to get some breakfast. They were serving bacon, eggs, and sandwiches. I gave  my order and took my breakfast and sat at the furthest seat away from everyone that i could find.

While i was eating the bell rung for first period to start, I finished what was left on my plate and headed  towards class. This morning the first class that i had was Eng B, i was actually excited about going to class because i liked reading and writing, also because i heard they had a great teacher. I entered the classroom and took a seat next to the window away from everyone again. The teacher walked in and greeted the class. She wrote her name on the board "Mrs Bradford". Halfway through the class she said that she was going put us into groups of two to work on a book she was going to give us. I walked towards the teacher's desk and i requested of her that i work on this project by myself. She thought about it for a while and eventually she decided to agree with my request. She said that since the class had uneven students she would let me work by myself. I could care less about why she let me work by myself once i got to. Reason for this? I don't know any of the students here and i just like working by myself.

It was now the last period of the day, and it was MATH. I was almost time for class to dismiss when there was an announcement on the P.A system. It was the vice principal talking, he announced that all the students that signed up for the drama class were to meet the president of the club in the Teathre Arts auditorium after this period was dismissed. That was tge end of thw announcement.  I started thinking, Tiffany is the president of the club which meant that she was going to see me and she proably hated me after I ran out on her like that yesterday. I started muttering under my breath and hardly paid any attention to the duration of the class remaining. The bell rang to dismiss us, I waited for everyone to leave and then i exited the class. I wandered the halls for about five minutes looking everywhere for the teathre arts auditorium, I was lost. I stopped at these group of girls to ask them if they could show me where to go. They said that the auditorium was on the other side of campus, i cursed under my breath and then thanked them. I turned around and started running through the halls, across the courtyard and then came upon a building with a sign marked "T.A Auditorium" on it.

I opened the door which made a really irritating squeaking sound and the room was already dead silent. Walking through the doorway everyone turned around for a second looking at me and then turned back around. It looked like there weren't much students that did drama, considering that it was mixed with the different year groups, it only looked like about thirty of us. I looked up on the stage infront of them and guess who was standing there. Tiffany was on stage staring straight at me with a smirk on her face. I thought about turning around and run again but instead i walked down the isle and sat myself down in the row behind from where everyone else was.

There was this other girl on stage with Tiffany. She introduced herself and her name was Seline She looked a little older than her, she had black hair that was tied in a ponytail and wore a a shirt with jeans and a black and white converse. She dressed much like a tomboy. They started talking about the class and what drama was about and the history. That stuff bored me and i almost fell asleep. Then out of nowhere Seline made two loud claps that echoed through the teathre, well that woke me up. She said that we were going to receive our first assignment today. She handed out a sheet of paper and told us to write down our names. While we were doing that Tiffany went into a cupboard and brought out a stack of books. I was the last to sign my name and i passed it back up for them to hand to Seline. She took the list and it looked like she  wrote her name and Tiffany's to. When she was finished she announced that for this assignment we were going to be paired in groups of two, i growled under my breath. I already got out of working with someone today and now it happens again. Then Tiffany said that no one will know who their partners were going to be until the day before it is due. This had me confused and got on my nerves because i don't like working with someone i don't know and now i'm not even getting a chance to know the person until the day before this assignment is due. Then they started calling us up on stage to collect a book and everytime someone collected a book they wrote something on the same peice of paper.

I was obviously the last person to go up and collect my book, while walking up to the stage Tiffany kept looking at me. When i took the book from her hands she gave me a smile and i walked back to my seat as fast as i could've without looking like an idiot. When i sat down i looked back up at the stage and i saw Seline whisper something into Tiffany's ears.

Seline told us that we had to read the book that were given to us and we would play the character that was highlighted. We had to learn that role by heart. Then Tiffany said that two people had the same book and that were are not allowed to tell one another which book we got or we would be failed. They told us that this assignment would be due in three weeks, that's two weeks after Tiffany returned from her training at the clinic. When they finished talking we were dismissed and i headed up to my room.

I looked at the book i got. I didn't even watch it up until now, you wouldn't believe. "ROMEO & JULIET"

I cursed myself for signing up for this class but it was already to late now. I looked the book and tossed it on the bed. I went and took a bath and brushed my teeth. I walked out of the bathroom and looked down on my bed staring at the book. I lay there in my bed thinking about how i had to act out a love story with someone i know nothing about, lying there i said to myself that i should get started get this over with and praythat my partner would try their best and work on their part in the book.
