I wake up in the morning and mom has already started fixing Sophia's hair. I look at Sophia and guilt rises in my throat but I can't say a word, I just don't know how to say what I want to. It was so long ago and ever since it happened it's been ignored. How do I bring up something like that?

I open my mouth to say something but no words form and I give up.

Just like you did that day.

I walk into my moms room where I keep my dress since I don't have a room, I either will sleep in the living room or Sophia's room on the floor. I rarely get to sleep on a actual bed.

I put on my simple but beautiful white and blue gown. I do my own make up and make sure to cover up my bite marks with concealer and foundation which I have become a pro at so it doesn't take long. I curl my hair and put it into a pony tale sense the rule is girls and men with long hair must wear it up.

If you think about it their basically saying their going to drunk your blood in a nice way.

I look at my reflection and stare at my lips which looks like they have cuts on them from me biting down so hard on them. Well there's no way to cover that up. I quickly shrug it off and pick up a book sitting it on the table for me to take to read.

My sister walks out of the room and looks like a goddess with her long blonde hair and slim red mermaid dress completed with silver high heels and red lip stick.

" Wow you look truly amazing. "

I say stunned.

" Thanks. "

She says smiling and flips her hair.

" It's hard to believe this is the last day we will see each other. "

I tell her trying to hide my tears.

" Look on the bright side this is a new beginning. "

She says smiling and the sad part is I've never seen her smile so big.

" I hope you get the best fresh start you can. "

I tell her teary eyed and hug her.

" Don't go all wimp on me sis. "

Maybe she's not the best sister but in a world where love doesn't matter, you don't know who your parents are, and friends are nearly non existent sense vampires outlawed humans going to school does having the best sister really matter? No because having a sister at all is enough.
