Prompt #588
"I Saw Death, But He Couldn't See Me."
I saw his black cloak,
His small, bony hand wrapped
Around her waist. He didn't even notice me.
I watched his mouth spew beautiful metaphors
About her hair and eyes
Before his lips met her's.I witnessed death's kiss, without him seeing me.
And after a few months of suffering,
Death claimed the woman he loved.
In one quick night, they were no more.He walked passed me, not looking in my direction.
He grabbed ahold of his next victim.
She smiled at his omniscience,
And a week later, the cycle begun. But I was left to watch.
