The night sky glowed with a dark red haze over the ruins of Canterlot, as me and my friends sat around the small fire Darksun managed to create. Softly, I closed my journal, leaving a bookmark on the page I was last on.

"Yeah, I remember that day. Everything bad about our world hit you like a truck on that day." I could hear Liam's regret in his tired voice. "It was my mistake to bring you to the battlefield of a growing war."

"I know, Liam. Unfortunately, we can't change that past, no matter how hard we try."

"Yeah, I know." Liam paused, looking up at me. "Besides, it's not like that war caused any of this."

"To be honest, I think that war may have been the lead reason Mira is the way she is." Darksun said, adjusting her glasses.

"You're probably right, too." I said, looking down at the dusty cover of my journal. "Do you guys want to take a break from my reading or would you like me to continue?"

"Please, do continue." I heard a voice from behind me. Knowing who it was, I turned around, and smiled, seeing her blue and brown eyes staring intently at me.

"Okay, Caelia."
