After reaching the location of the other guards, I had been forced to sit down and keep quiet, unless I could remember anything. Even after everything though, I still couldn't remember anything. First, I was in that odd void with those strange, white crystals, then I was floating above Canterlot. Now, I'm here, unable to figure anything out, and I don't think to tell them about the void would help me in any way.
"So, do you like the journal?" I heard Liam say to the left of me, but I didn't respond. What was I supposed to say anyway? "You don't seem to talk much." He said with a sigh, as I heard him shift in his chair, it gives a small creak as he did.
"Well, I don't have much to say" I responded, turning to look at him. He was shockingly tall, as he towered above me.
"Hm, I see." He paused, before continuing. "Still, I can tell something is on your mind." turning to look at me, he gave me a small smile. "Can I ask what you're thinking about?" I remained silent, as he continued smiling at me.
"Well, it's nothing special, but I'm thinking about where I woke up."
"Oh, and where was that?" He seemed genuinely interested in pursuing this conversation, so who was I to deny him the answer.
"A strange black void, filled with large white crystals that give off a strange magical glow." I could see him freeze in place, seemingly shocked by what I said. Quickly, he smiled, before standing up, and trotting over to the guard that helped us out early, tapping him on the shoulder.
"I think I know how and why she lost her memories." I could hear Liam said, before turning over to me again. "She's a Darksider." Wait, what? What's a Darksider?
"Are you sure?"
"Positive." He kept smiling, before turning back to the guard. "Do you have a needle of any kind?"
"Yeah, right here." I saw the guard hand Liam a small, pointy pin before he trotted over to me.
"Can I see your arm, please?" I paused, looking him in the eye. What was he going to do with that pin? "Hey, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. If I'm correct, you shouldn't even feel it."
I kept staring at him, before hesitantly bringing my hoof up, and laying it on his. He just continued to smile, before looking at my arm, and poking the pin gently into my arm, and pulling it out quickly, watching my arm intently. Quickly, I turned down, watching the small dot slowly close up. "Told you."
"Well?" The guard said, trotting up behind Liam.
"No blood, and it healed up quickly" Liam turned around, looking the guard in the eye. "A rare, very young Darksider."
At first, I didn't know what he was talking about, but I quickly figured it out. A Darksider is a being created outside the universe, in what is known as the void. They are creatures created from the given up emotions, feelings, and memories made into a physical form. In other words, I was the lost pieces of someone else.
A rare, young Darksider. I was apart of a rare group of Darksiders that were created under the age 15. At least that's what they thought. That's a story for later, though. Let us get back to this story.
"So, what you are telling me is that is young filly is a Darksider?" I heard the guard say to Liam. After the discovery, Liam and that guard from earlier brought me into a separate room to talk.
"That is exactly what I'm saying," Liam said excitedly, as I stood next to him in silence. "There was no blood, and it healed up like a Darksider would." he turned to me, still smiling brightly. "Do you have any idea how wonderful this discovery is?"
