I walk into school the next day with a huge smile in my face. I can't help but feel that the smile is somehow connected to what Aarav said yesterday.

I spot my friends standing and having some serious conversation. I decide to play a prank on them. I settle for the standard scare.

I position myself behind a wall. The wall is the only thing separating my friends and myself. But now a new idea has popped into my head. I want to know what my friends are talking about. So I decide to eavesdrop. They are whispering so I get only bits if the conversation .

Ankita is saying " Did you hear ? Apparently she was sticking to him yesterday."

What Rishima says I don't quite catch.

"I can't believe she..." says Ankita

I was starting to lose interest in their conversation. I had no clue who the "her" and " him" were. But I'm determined to find out what they're talking about. I pay attention to what they're saying but I can't make sense of it.

I'm planning on just ditching the
prank idea and just go say hi. When Harsha interrupts.

" Guys , why are we whispering? She's not even here. Whispering takes too much energy !" I mentally thank Harsha for saying that.

But now I want to know more than ever what or who they were talking about.

"Yeah! So what was I saying ? .... " Ankita says.

""I can't believe" .... was what you were saying before Harsha interrupted you" says Rishima.

" oh right! She's such a liar. Someone in the bus told me that she was drooling all over him yesterday. Why drool over him? Why him?"

Now I was getting desperate to know who they were talking about. But lucky for me I had Harsha on my side.

"Wait ! Who's him ?!" Says Harsha proving my point.

Nishita replies to that very matter of factly " Aarav Sharma! Hima , bro, pay attention. "

Now I wanted to know who drooling all over Aarav. But my had a feeling I already knew that. The only person who was talking to Aarav yesterday was Shanaya. But I still wanted it to come out of their mouths. So I waited for Hima to bring it up.(It was only a matter of time before she did.)

As if on cue Hima asks , " who was drooling all over Aarav?". I thank Hima under my breath.

" What ? You should really learn to tospeak up" says a voice. It takes memoment to digest what's going on.

Aarav was standing in front of me.

And talking to me.

And it looked like he wasn't going to leave me alone unless I answered him.
