"I know you like someone you might as well tell me who it is now, since I will find out no matter what." My sister said walking into my room not even glancing up from her nails. I rolled my eyes before looking back at the book in my lap, my sister was always this weird with boy and popularity and high school in general. She fit the role of queen bee physically anyway, always looking perfectly coiffed with her make-up done and acting like an idiot. I don't understand why she has to pretend, if i was as smart as her I can't say I would flaunt it but I wouldn't hide it either. I'm not dumb but my IQ is around ten points below hers sadly, I can't remember the exact number but I knew it was considerably behind but not drastically.
"Don't try to ignore me, I will not leave until you tell me what I want to know." She said plopping down at the foot of my bed.
"I don't know what you're talking about Lydia." I told her without looking up from my book trying to go for a nonchalant attitude. After all my crush was not a new development it just seemed like it to Lydia because I never told her about it, well not recently anyway.
"Oh please you never date but I know you're interested in boys and you get this dreamy look at school sometimes. I've narrowed it down to that Boyd kid, Matt and I shudder to even suggest it, Greenburg." She was staring at me and I knew but I just shrugged and replied with.
"Wrong on all accounts and seriously Greenburg?" I asked her giving her a quick glance, everyone gets annoyed by Greenburg even the most saintly of people would want to kill him.
"Hey I had to give him a shot, all three were present at a lot of your dream sessions." She said the last bit a little snarkily.
"Yea well I don't like any of them the way you're implying." I told her while turning the page, I had learned to multitask at a young age.
"Would you even admit it if I guessed the right guy?" She asked me sounding a little hurt. I sighed and closed my book before looking up at her.
"If you guessed right then sure I'll tell you." I knew that by saying that I was admitting I have a crush on someone but she had seemed so hurt that I had to, besides she was a genius she had no doubt that I liked someone. "But you have to guess them by name not by describing random people hoping you'll say something that fits." Besides it's not like she'll ever guess who I like, she doesn't even know he exists.
"You promise?" She phrased it like a question but I could tell by the tone of her voice that it was a demand.
"I promise." As soon as I said the words I wished I could take them back. Lydia got this smug mischievous look on her face and I knew she had something up her sleeve.
"Stiles."
