Phil
Waking up in the morning, I see I have a missed call from Dan.
Oh shit, I thought to myself, he had a panic attack and I wasn't there to help. I know I have my own problems to deal with, but Dan needed me. I send him a quick message.
Phil, 6:37am: Hey, sorry I didn't answer last night, must have put my phone on silent.
Dan, 6:39am: Oh, it's fine. It was nothing, I just couldn't sleep and wanted to talk for a bit.
Phil, 6:42am: Are you sure? I know you sometimes wake up with panic attacks...
Dan, 6:43am: Yes, Phil, everything was alright last night.
Phil, 6:45am: Ok... I'll meet you on our walk to school soon.
Dan, 6:49am: Sounds good, I'm still getting ready.
Setting my phone back down on the bedside table, I make my way up and out of bed. I yawn very loudly as I stretch my arms above my head, proceeding to the bathroom. With my fringe, I sometimes wake up with a quiff, my hair standing straight up over my head.
After I finish straightening and styling my hair, I grab my stuff and head out the door. It's not very long until I spot Dan in front of me. I call his name, but he doesn't respond. Quickly, I try catching up to him, seeing he has his earbuds in.
Pulling an earbud out of his ear to listen to his music, I find he likes Pierce the Veil as well, and even my favorite song, "I'm Low on Gas and You Need a Jacket," is playing before the songs switch up. The opening chords sound farmiliar, but I haven't exactly listened to Pierce the Veil in a while, so I can't quite pin my finger on what song it is before Dan switches it off.
"Can I have my earbud back?" I hear him pipe up as we entered the school gates.
We chatted for a bit before the bell rang, and told him I'd see him again 7th for art. He just quietly nodded and walked off. He didn't seem right, but I just let it go for the time being. Surely he'll be fine later, I'm sure this is nothing. But oh, was I wrong.

AN: HEY GUYS SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG WAIT OH MY. First, band. That's all I'm gonna say. Well, maybe not. You see, we had a lot of very early morning practices to make sure we wouldn't forget our show and to make sure we could fix anything needed, so when I get home from school, I do my homework then take a nap, then do everything else I'm required to do at home. Besides that, I'm also trying out for All-State in choir, which is this Saturday. So I might not update until about Monday-ish.
School is also a hastle. I'm only two and a half months in and I'm already stressed to the max. I'm failing health, I'm almost failing history, I've never been good at either class, but I'm trying to make it on my own.
Also, I know not a lot of you bight be religious in any sort of way, but I've been studying to make Profession of Faith.
So yeah, there's a basic rundown of my life recently and why I haven't been active. I'll start writing the next chapter soon!
