Long before apes began walking upright, there was a race of sentient, reptilian beings called Cronoshians. They were perfectly adapted to life underground and aboveground. They derived from the theropod velociraptor, adopting their general head shape and sickle claw on their third toe. They have a bipedal, hunched build, and can run/walk bipedaly and quadropedaly. They have, to some extent, racial diversity. Some are a dark brown whilst others are a light green. Some have horns and spines whilst others do not. Some even have feathers or quills, all depending on what region of the world they live in. Each "District" or "Continent" has a King. The particular district this is focusing on is the city Cronos, located under the United Kingdom. 13 human years ago, Cronos was destroyed along with the other cities. The only known survivor was named Cron. He is a 600 year old Cronoshian. The cities were destroyed by an alien race called the Arteeg. These are the oldest living races out of the 5 space faring species in our galaxy. They have a personal hatred for the Cronoshians as the king, Kaelus, attacked a passing Arteeg fleet some thousand years ago. Cron managed to flee and seek help from the Yinry, the third oldest race. After some hesitation, they accepted to help him fight the Arteeg, along with the help of the Khajje, the second oldest race, created by the Arteeg themselves. With Cronoshians being the youngest race, the fourth were the Koraines. Working as a collective, they are savage and evil. The Cronoshians can change shape to be either 2 storeys tall or human sized.
The Yinry
The Yinry are a 150m tall race of frog like species with five fingers and two toes. They also switch between two legs and four. They come from the planet Sultas, but also inhabit many others in colonies. They are at war with a less advanced sentient race af aliens called the Pizram, who are native to Sultas too. Not much is known of their culture. One known individual is Nayr, Cron's friend.
The Khajje:
5 times bigger than the Yinry, although able to change size at will, the Khajje are an artificially created race that inhabit the planet Aegis IV. They were created by the Arteeg named Aaron, who is currently working with them against the rest of the Arteeg. They have three heads each, and are built like a stick insect.
The Arteeg
The oldest living race, the Arteeg are skyscraper sized cyborgs who can also change shape at will. Robotic bodies with organic organs, they destroy any race that they find less superior. The Arteeg are mortal enemies with the Cronoshians. No one has been to their homeworld and so barely anything is known about their culture.
The Koraine
The Koraine are huge creatures that resemble spiders. They work in a hive mind system like that of ants, complete with workers, soldiers and a King instead of a Queen. The workers lay eggs. The king is sentient enough to be able to speak through telepathy.
They breed rapidly and do not care for other races. Their constant hunger drives them to devour any living thing they can find and often resort to cannibalism.
